That's a factor as well but I've gone for both unless my elixir storage was full and it was always skewed towards gold.
Edit: however by your own actions you demonstrate how gold was hyper valued over elixir lol

SC, giving us 1 gem boosts is NICE... don't get me wrong. But it does not FIX the problem. The "problem" is that last Decembers loot system update DOES NOT WORK.
Plus, whoever's idea it was to spend pink on walls should be shot. Please back out that change. I would someday like to enjoy the game again by occasionally being able to build a strong attack.
BARCH is only fun for so long. It's already starting to get boring... Boring games tend to attract less players...
I honestly believe the problem would resolve if lix for walls was restricted to level 9. It is TH8s sinking lix into their walls that has created the crisis.....they have none so TH 9s get none. As a maxxed TH9 I can NEVER hold less than 2 million lix and still service my troops spells and donations....but a TH8 and below can survive on very little.
I agree. People who have maxed gold mines have not always maxed elixir collectors. Plus another factor to be considered for the elixir shortage is the new dark barracks and level 7 barb and archer upgrades. The last update put a high demand on elixir which will eventually subside.
Ah sorry, my mistake there. However, it still means you are talking about loot derived from collectors, which again should not be lumped in with the league bonus.
True, but this happens even in crystal and masters, and again, it doesn't change the lesgue bonus or the amounts in people's collectors.Quote:
Nexting cost was brought in as while it is a small individual loss the amount of nexting done as a whole could have a significant impact on available loot at certain times of inactive unavailability, particularly in under served leagues.
Again, this is nonsense. If everyone went to crystal and above to farm off the league bonus, all the inactives from silver and gold leagues would fall to the back of the queue, effectively removing them from the game. This loss would be far greater than the gains made from the league bonus. Otherwise, everyone would already be doing it! You're acting like it's inefficient to farm collectors when in reality it is inefficient to farm off the league bonuses (unless you keep adding in base loot, then it becomes ambiguous. However, again, this is derived mostly from collectors anyway).Quote:
And yes the game would be better served if people were encouraged to play for the league bonus. Sandbagging for loot is anti-competitive.
The only exception to this would be if there was a coordinated effort where everyone sits their THs outside, which is unrealistic.
Across the board? That masks all distribution issues and attempts to summarize this complex economy with a single number, and I don't feel that captures the full picture. "Endgame" in this context simply means being at the highest TH level, which I and many others have been for over a year. Yes, we are in good position to judge changes to our loot over this time.Quote:
Changes affected players differently based on their town hall and progression into the game, it is difficult in that light to say loot has always been X across the board. I would have to say being that bad loot is largely a complaint of end game players one would need to continuously be an end game player to evidence experience of better loot throughout those changes.
I'm trying to hit a moving target here aren't I? You acknowledge that the player surge isn't THAT bad this time, which was the original argument. Yup, loot sinks in this update are definitely a major factor, but all that means is the activity rate isn't the dominant factor (which again was the issue we were discussing).Quote:
Doubtful yes. However if it is anything close to clan wars the requirements for the upgrades in this update compared to clan wars would represent, by comparison, a significant and long lasting strain on the economy. The only upgrade offered back then was the CC.
Well I'm still waiting on those numbers from the new loot system we were promised.Quote:
Last I recall about official inactive management was Steve suggesting they may need to adjust how they are managed due to the large influx of players, but that was in March. He ended it with "Stay Tuned" suggesting if something changed it would be noted.
Absolute nonsense.
There has been a serious loot shortage.
SuperCell don't listen to people complaining about anything. They crunch their own numbers and act on them.
The action they have because is that their own statistics have flagged up that things are not right. It has nothing to do with the overwhelming majority not being happy with the loot situation.
Well done you, you have magically found a solution to there being a shortage of loot, you have no need to use the one gem boost.
