$1.429mil/day for Clash = $521.58 million
$273K/day for Hay Day = $99.97 million

Looks like both games will rake in about $620 million in 2014. Still pretty good, but revenue has dropped over $200 million... :eek:

It is now making sense why loot is bad . Use gems for buy elixirs or gold are the least efficacy for gems . Boost barracks to raid is the best one . 8 millions gold is around $20 . Boost all 4 barracks is around 40 cents . If you can get 8 millions gold from 40 cents , how can softbank make money $$$.

Well, $200 million less revenue can have a few explanations:

a) total number of paying customers has dropped
b) total number of paying customers has remained about the same, but they now spend less on average

Any way you spin it, a 20-25% revenue drop is bad news for SC.

Maybe SC has been making system-wide loot progressively worse to squeeze more people into gemming, once they saw the revenue dropping this year. :p

Why are players leaving the game??

Because like I have been banging on about for about 3 updates if not more, the game got boring - no new content (real content, not an upgrade!)

Add to this acute lack of content that fact that raiding is now absolutely no fun / barely profitable and you have addicted farmer and dedicated hunter alike looking at their game and wondering what the point is.

SC took way too long to get on top of this situation and its probably costing them player loyalty. Maybe some of us will start playing once again when things (on a number of fronts) improve drastically...

It's bad for any business. It could very well be that SC has forgotten the value of faith in their business model. Take most Christian based religions for example. You can go to church and warship with everybody and you never "have" to donate anything. Most people do donate for various reasons but they are all based around the faith that god will be gracious to them and in some cases will be more gracious to those who were the most generous. If for some reason they loose faith they leave the church and take their money with them.

Using much the same business model, nobody has to spend a single dollar to play CoC. Those who do receive enhanced game play and continue to invest in the game because they trust SC will not ruin the game for them. They have faith that the playable game will continue or they will take their business elsewhere. For many of us our faith in SC has been shaken and that could very well be a large contributing reason they are seeing their revenue decline. They need to keep the congregation happy (or at least convinced) or the donations will end.

I haven't posted in here in a while, and I try to avoid it anyways since as a TH8 nobody really listens when you say loot is bad.

However, the past week as been the worse I can ever remember loot being. I'm close to max TH8 and my cheapest defensive upgrade is the last upgrade to the archer towers at 2.5 million. And at "only" 2.5 million can't keep my builders going.

Granted, I don't play non stop as I have a life outside of this game, however, over the past day of struggling to farm I've managed only 1.5 million gold. My profit has been chewed away by nexting costs as I'm coming upon base after base with only 50k each. I've currently parked at Crystal 3 just to give myself the loot bonus consolation prize, but this is absolutely unsustainable.

I can still keep the game fun with clan wars and such, but with TH9 not far off, I'm not sure I can do this anymore. TH10 is even worse.

Supercell, please let us know if you plan on doing anything to loot so I can choose to cut my losses before it's too late... this game is quickly losing the fun aspect and the scary part is that I'm only at TH8!

Great news! Great news. Losing money is the only thing these people understand.

Put the loot back to what it was and get rid of that stupid Lix for walls.

People start playing and paying again and revenue goes up.

It's so awesome to see them get what they deserve. I'd love to see them try to explain this to the shareholders if there are any or the execs. Well, we thought we could force the player base to gem through a series of obvious mine grab updates...............

This is not Acceptable anymore !!

Hello all,

I'm really really angry and suffer from this game.

I waste in every raid about 500K to 2Million Gold to just find a decent base who have 150K+

I can't even get trophies because I don't find good bases to raid and get loot so I just collect from my Collectors and won't waste my time anymore really TH10 is tribble but after this update there is no Loot at all I'm now in Crystal 2.

and I can't move further because if I just make a Trophies pushing I will lose too much Elixer without any benefit or anything and I want to upgrade my village.

Please CoC find a Solution, I know u will ignore us who complain about Loot because you get enough money from Gemmers and u don't care anymore.

Anyways I will quit this game till they find a solution for Loot there is no Fun at all..

this Picture can show you I wasted about 2Million Gold and nothing found I want to say bad words but I will get banned so I will try to be calm this time..

With that source of tourist income effectively removed from the game and manufacture of resources still set at TH7 rates there simply are not enough resources being generated to support the ever growing number of TH9-10 villages. The example of archer tower costs in the middle of my original post back on page 640 gives a pretty clear example of the basic underlying problem. On the bright side there are many excellent ideas in this thread that can be combined in a number of ways to fix both the short and long term problems. While SC does need to do it carefully so they don't replace the current problem with a different one they do need to do something SOON! They will need implement both hard and soft changes to the economy and do a more proactive job of monitoring it in the future while using those soft changes to throttle the flow of goods into the game. I would like to see some of the soft changes implemented . . . well, now. Since they would be adjustable they could always turn them down tomorrow if they needed. Hard changes that would make a more lasting change need more planning for long term impact but I see little reason not to re-introduce some inactive bases on a tiered system (rather than trophies) to ease the immediate suffering.

Wait a minute . . . I just got sucked back into this discussion again.

I don't know how many times we have to go over this.

Yes there are less inactives which has an impact.

But the main reason is the December loot change and Lix for walls. It literally disappeared the second the update hit. Everyone dumps it into walls now before logging off. No debate to be had.
