It will work and prove that the community dont want a decent game they just want to be raiding inactives the whole day long and not challenge themselves in the slightest.
Very much not a practical approach and was my first reaction.

Such a pity this game bread a bunch of terrified ferrets hiding behind shields that cry to abuse the defenceless quitters.

Why do you guys bother upgrading then if you wanna play in the sandbox all day?

i was backing a guy earlier that proposed a solution to the raiding mechanics but he was ignored due to tiny flaws & for the most part because his idea abandoned the thought of raiding dead bases altogether.
Its a shame we have players who just want to be lazy and upgrade a base for nothing other than prestige.

The idea linked above is so much more complicated than it needs to be.

Also, not everybody wants handouts in the form of more collector bases.

League bonus is the simplest method of improving the loot situation, and adding a (simple) multiplier to it would further incentivize using stronger armies to defeat a base. Plus, this small change is something that -- from SC's perspective -- is also simple to accomplish. As a business operator, you don't want to bulldoze your building if all you need to do is a bit of renovation.

I think it needs the complication though and there should be more elements of risk.. After all were raiding to get better.

If there is a chance you might lose your own resources while attacking then you certainly will be more cautious and you definately will get better.

Simply injecting free loot through bonuses is not the answer.
I agree 0 sum isn't either but there is a balance and there should be risk.

Thanks Supercell for taking all the fun out of what it was a great game. You should change it the name in the next upgrade and call it NEXT because that's what I been doing in the last couple of weeks. I boosted a couple of time my barracks and spend 2 hours straight just to get almost nothing. Out of the two hours each time I did it I spent hour and a half just pressing the bottom NEXT, AND NEXT AND NEXT. I hate that bottom, I really do. That's is why I won't be playing this game anymore. It was fun to play now it's pain to play almost like a torture. I won't spend my free time pushing NEXT AND NEXT AND NEXT AND NEXT. Name it NEXT because that's what you most do in the game, no clashing or battling or anything you just NEXT AND NEXT AND NEXT. Supercell won't listen to you guys so stop playing this painful game until they fixed it. It's the only way because they're desperate to get your money and this is them showing you how much they want it.

The proposed idea in that thread was the exact definition of a zero-sum game. He even says, "Thus the resource reward to the winning player will come entirely from loot penalty from the losing opponent."

The economy needs loot coming in from somewhere; SC has said that the majority of loot in the entire economy comes from collectors. Ergo, a collector buff would be a simple and effective means of injecting loot into the economy (rather than just moving it from one person to another). But, boosting collectors does nothing to incentivize bigger/stronger armies or attacking in general. Hence, my original proposal to use a league bonus multiplier to encourage people to use stronger armies.

If the economy is going to improve, it needs additional resources coming from somewhere other than out of the pocket of another player.

Loot is still rocking for my th7 alt account!

And is still dreadful in my th10.

Game is screwed up when lower level ths can farm WAY more then higher levels......

I don't know why you quoted me here. I was jabbing at Hogtastic's solutions of removing search costs entirely as well as a weekly 1 gem boost to collectors, which would have terrible consequences on the economy and also deter gem sales: a loss for both the playerbase and Supercell.

I have absolutely stated that the current loot system is broken for TH9/10s, and with the lix for wall update TH8s could start to feel the pain of it down the road to some extent, too. The elixir for walls update wasn't a bad move. The fact that they implemented it while simultaneously ramping up the rate at which they decommission inactive bases, AND while they never created any system that benefits an active playerbase, THAT'S what made it appear to be a bad move and why it seemed to have ruined the economy overnight.

I've posted AT LEAST 30 times in this thread about ways that would fix the problem for the players who feel it the most (the highly active playerbase levels, or TH9/10), but nobody responds to those posts. They'd rather find some dimwit who makes some completely irrelevant claim and then start a spitting match with them on that until the thread once again gets totally derailed. Much like what I did with Hogtastic's boneheaded posts, which I probably should have just ignored.

I hear ya goobers.... There are great ideas in this thread and others that would make the game amazing again for th10s. A game where we spend our gems because we are having fun... How in the world can anyone think that any game should be the worst at its highest level of gameplay??

People are not asking for 300k bases every 10 nexts, though that is what th 7, 8 seem to get at will even now.

TH10 the challenge is TIME! It is completely backwards the challenge becomes how lucky you are NEXTING to find a raidable base that hasn't been sniped with resources in it or the very rare inactive. The fact that SC doesnt come out and say something is mind blowing. Supposing that we th10s all get used to terrible loot, that we all become masochists for this game, what does SC gain?? They certainly dont gain more gem buyers. I know of no one except the crazy people to buy loot and we dont gem time unless we have loot! Their silence on the matter is unfathomable.
