Oooh server maintenance please let there be a fix in there!!!
I hope your right Keywal, though on Thier announcement page it stated the servers were unaligned. I will be checking right away. I have made several replays in this thread so I do check periodically. Has supercell even acknowledged any of our posts? My th7 is finding loot left and right but my th10 is really struggling. We war twice a week and it gets expensive to donate and to have strong attacks. They really need to fix this!
TH10 lvl115
This is going to get merged for your information into the one and only loot thread
I shall howl with the wolves right here : elixir for walls caught the game unbalanced.
Right now, every now and then, people just trash their extra elixir in walls, killing the loot availability (as a quite fresh TH10, i shall say that i stay under shield a lot more than i used to, and i'd rather rely on black elixir for army building if i need to rake for troup upgrade price -will take me at least 2 weeks to get the average 7-8M needed for standard troup upgrade). Side effect is that i came playing every 20 mns b4, but now i just come by twice a day... (and actually wonder if i'm to keep on coming : a game with 10 mn of fun max per day is not really worth. Had i not been investing a year of gaming in it that i would have already trashed it)
I shall hope that the wall upgrade mania will somehow come to an halt when everyone gets high level walls (but by then, standard ground troups will be rather useless, which will set another balance problem). Right now, i only see tons of elixir invested in walls for no purpose (really, who cares for wall past a few levels, since you come to face mainly hog riders and dragons). The elixir wall upgrade is, IMO, a useless way to invest tons of elixir for no other purpose than not be stolen... And now the elixir economy is struggling... Quite a bad idea...
Now let's find a cure...
I agree that they were not. As far as this starting when the elixer for walls option began I am not so sure about. It might be a factor though I believe it really presented itself when they took out the inactive accounts. I would gladly spend 100k nexting knowing that I would find one therefore increasing my loot and continuing the cycle. Just my 2 cents.
Loot is bad, currently. There, I said it ;)
I refrained from participating in loot threads until now, because for me loot was good, yet I did never doubt the arguments of the people with higher town halls and bigger bases. So essentially, there was nothing to add.
But during the last couple of weeks I experienced a slow but steady drain. Two days ago I "nexted" for more than 60,000 units of gold which translates to more than a hundred times at TH 8. I've been in Silver 1 up to Gold 1 or even Crystal 3, mostly barching. I used to be able to find 200k to 300k of each, not combined, within a couple of minutes. Now it's 40k, 50k, ...
I don't think the "elixir for walls" change has got anything to do with the current situation. At least not as experienced by TH 8 and even lower. There were enough elixir based upgrades to spend your stuff on. Clan wars and big all dragon armys, spells, ... take the rest.
What I believe is the root cause, is those damn farming bots. That's just my opinion, though I think it's well founded, because I do not have any data to back it. Only SC might have some more insight, here.
But during the last couple of weeks those tools have become used so frequently, they finally get noticed even by casual players like me. And what do they raid? Mines and collectors ...
If we assume 5 fully automated attacks in 2 hours for a 50/50 barching composition, that's 60 attacks per day. Of course anyone using this can accept way lower loot gains. At TH 8 that army is 30k per raid. So, 60k gained may be considered acceptable. This lowers the standards for everyone even further ...
What I think should be done:
- find a way to lock out those bots
- encourage players to max their mines and collectors by an achievement (e.g. 5 mines to level 11, 5 collectors to level 11, 20 gems each. 50 and 100 gems for 6 and 7 mines/collectors, respectively).
Kind regards
Patrick
Supercell,
You like to monitor things, right?
Well monitor the loot right after a maintenance break and then replicate that for "normal" gaming conditions and I dont think there will be a problem as far as loot is concerned. hehe
No one in my clan has moaned for a full hour, its almost fun! lol
