Well we are in the first hours of a new season - my clan is the same lol

I agree with the elixir for walls change. It's part of a long term strategy. Too many people become "stuck" at TH8 if they want to max out and have a life. I've seen it in my clan.
Long term this will benefit the game. TH8 can often get loot from mid level collectors which can be used to do walls and speed up progression. They then become TH9 and have no loot penalty for me.... And TH10 can also prey on them.
Short term. People are blaming the elixir on walls change for an understandable 'blip' in the economy caused by the elixir upgrades - 2 dark barracks (7mil combined) and the two troop upgrades which drained the elixir from storages
Around 7-10 days after the update there was a slight rise in the number of bases with loot as people were saving for the next elixir upgrade
This pattern repeated itself over a few weeks. For me elixir seems to be righting itself - but I'm nexting a lot of TH8's in crystal 3 gold 1
I don't think that SC forsaw that the loot would be affected for so long. From the complaints people havent factored in the upgrades either.
Long term I think that this will cause a major change to the leagues and where the various THs are located at. For better or worse ... Who knows.
Hi Daddy...
I have not bothered logging on today. Didn't most of the weekend either. I had the time, and was able to collect loots before the shields ended - but I chose not to play.
I was one of the most active players in the game at one point. I would be force kicked multiple times while farming but now, with loot so poor and there not being anything else to do of any real enjoyment, I just slowly get more inactive as do some of my clan.
I have no doubt that there are many other players doing the same - You are lucky that you still have enough to keep you active and hopefully having fun!
Seen a mild improvement in loot availablity over the last two nights which is extra strange due to it being the weekend, typically, weekends are very poor for loot as a lot of casual players log on to play. Last night I was pleased to land two easy 400k+ raids along with a series of acceptable 100k-150k raids over a two hour boosted barracks period in crystal 2.
I've also noted a slight return to normal for Elixir availability. Without realising last night I'd landed 2m by the end of my boost. Putting elixir into walls is all very good, but you need to keep a decent holding of elixir to make armies. I've been sitting on at least 1m elixir since the update so I can afford to keep raiding.
Perhaps the loot will balance out in time for the next update...
Hi Carlito, I definitely agree with you. I too am playing less and less. I am getting fed up with the lack of loot in this game.
The game's economy is broken.
SC just keeps adding more to spend with no increase in resource generation. It must be daunting if you have just started to play this game. I want the game to be like it once was, enjoyable with a sense of progression. Not a second job, pressing next and having to have lower expectations of progressing.
Answer: Elixer into walls at level 9 legos and up
As of now:
No more heavy elixir army attacks while NEXTing yay.
giants giants giants barch and wallbreakers for life. That's the game now. Cheaper the better.
Say goodbye to 10+ dragon attacks when logging off. (Remember that is over 300k they can put into walls, very important.)
The only 10 dragon army you will see is in war, or coming from a war attack that wasn't used.
It killed it good ☺
And it's good to know no one will make 10 dragons and go NEXTing like before the update.
And pekkas and healers can go into walls too.
collect the resources in my collectors
if i have 500k elixir i would upgrade a wall
if i have 1500k gold i would upgrade a bomb
if its nearly there i will do one or two raids to get the rest
if not i will log off and wait for the next guy to snipe my townhall and wait a few more days till i have enough to upgrade my walls
Some people seeing "the loot is getting better" are from in-actives is most likely someone who has just quit the game recently.
Dead bases = good loot
post more pictures of dead base finds
Well I'm not quitting but I do find it terribly funny lol.
My lack of enjoyment is occuring more frequently as well but has nothing to do with loot problems. I do not understand what the loot problems are. Farming as a TH player in champ works wonders for me. 8m gold per day is more than acceptable for me. And since you can throw gold AND elixer in walls, you can keep your amount of resources low enough to be TH sniped 9/10 times. So it is not necessary anymore to be online for hours and hours in a row.
I hope SC won't focus too much on the loot problems but spend their valuable time on the variety of the game itself. My enjoyment for the game is decreasing more and more because of the lack of variety. For many months, you simply have two options of playing the game: 1) you farm, farm and farm and 2) for 10 minutes per two days, you do your clan war attacks. That's simple not enough to play a game like Clash of Clans.
This is what bothers me the most, the lack of features. Not the loot... the loot for me is fine. Same goes for most of my clan members and more and more are getting to the same opinion, thanks to the help and advice of my team mates. So perhaps some of you might wanna use the clan chat and listen to those who are in your clan and still farming hard. They might have a tip or two for you.
Oh btw... cannot wait to get bashed coz of this post hehe.
Elixir for walls did not kill the economy. We must remember that gold has always been used for walls and gold intake kinda sucked before the update!
The rate at which we spend resource is not the problem - the way in which we acquire it is. Giving elixir an additional purpose was good because eventually lix became next to worthless. We need a way to acquire more resource and this should not rely solely on collectors and loot in player bases becasue as a lot of us are experiencing, that is not enough to support us.
Collectors do not give much in relation to upgrade cost and player bases are increasingly dry because, yes, we can sink spare resource into walls before logging off - but players have been doing that with gold for a long time...so that mechanism should not the be the focus of what we want to see changed. If it is, the gold will remain in drought and lix will go back to being useless for an increasing number of players (more and more of us are maxing out TH10)
