The NEW one and only loot is good or bad thread

Can SC not put the wall upgrade back to just gold? Why won't they listen to their customer base? It is obvious that the vast majority, including myself, would prefer this.

I'm just finding it very difficult to understand why the change cannot be reverted back to the way it was. The way the player/customers prefer it.

Should we take a vote/poll? Does it really make a difference what we say in these threads? (because it sure doesn't seem like it).

*I'm TH8, hovering 1,650 trophy range. having the same issues as the majority of players. :mad::mad::mad:

Roughly translated for the more naive amongst us: if there is a dip in revenue because of this, we will do something about it.

Obviously this will never be the case :) If you are complaining, it means you are still playing (and possibly paying). In addition, SC doesn't cater to the masses: it caters to the segments of its customers base which have the most impact on its revenue stream. Your complaints do not matter: they are merely a minor inconvenience (if at all) since SC doesn't require your appeasement in order to do what it does best and fulfill its purpose, which is generating millions of dollars/euros every single day. Think about it: the more you are able to farm, the more potential revenue SC is missing out on. Every single update has one purpose in mind: how do we increase (or off-set the loss of) revenue? So if you really want to enact change: stop complaining and just stop playing/paying.

I had an off day from college so decided to sit back and play games including my fav games on playstation and clash of clans. I wanted to do my xbows to lvl 2 as I was free to raid 5 million. Took me 2.5 hours to raid 4 million with a barch army (including heroes and spells). I had 1 million already so, it didn't take much effort. I was playing w/o boosting too. Loot is slowly getting better. Another thing I want to point out is,sadly our college clan got destroyed because of the loot. Many friends have left the game. (th8-10). I don't have much motivation now. Earlier we used to have so much fun in the clan with constant talking and banter. Nowadays, I keep my 5 builders busy and log off for 3-4 days as everything at th9 takes long time. I request SC to make it a enjoyable game (it is supposed to be fun) and not a troublesome game with hours of grinding. My personal life is way more imp than a game.

Gems :
I always played with 'barracks boosting' but since last month or so I don't even bother buying gems. why will I buy a water bottle when there is no water.

Builder time? I don't even bother now as now me and my friends (ex-coc players) play call of duty. It's way more fun when ur in a lobby. Guess what? U don't have to press next for shooting someone..(unless ur playing search n destroy lol)


Another humble request to fix the loot a bit.
P.S. As an economics student, I would say if coc was a country, your regime wouldn't havs lasted with such bad economic measures.

That's not necessarily accurate. First of all, SC doesn't apparently get the bulk of its revenue from heavy gemmers but normal players buying builders or small amounts of resources or time so they will indeed "cater to the masses" as you put it nicely.
SC's business plan unlikely is to make all people throw that 11 000$ into our accounts. That will not happen in the large scale so they have to make sure that the average Joe is enjoying his game as long as possible so he's more likely to buy gems at some point.

If SC fixes something we complain because it dents their wallets why should we complain? Isn't the result more important than the motives?

If anything, the lack of loot is making me spend less on gems. I didn't spend much on gems to begin with, mostly in two situations:

1. To boost 1 or 2 barracks for a nice 2 hour rapid farming session. (No point doing this anymore as the faster training time is wated due to it taking longer to find a loot-worthy base)

2. To speed up the last day or 2 of an upgrade if I had elixir or gold storages completely full. (Not gonna happen either...those 10-14 day build times are actually helping out now as it takes that long to loot for further upgrades)

So yeah...I'm saving cash by not being tempted to spend on gems...thanks SC!!


The game is becoming far too much of a grind. That is unsustainable in the long run as eventually people just get bored and move on to another game.

In many ways I feel CoC has been riding it's luck. It was an early mover, getting in before other games could. If there were other games that were even remotely as good, CoC would lose users fast. Sadly some of the alternatives ( a certain Sci-fi movie based game comes to mind) are so awfully made that it makes CoC look amazing.

It can be once you have bruises on your fingertip from pressing it so many times ;)

The simple fact that they made a sticky loot thread means that SC is looking into it without loosing profit. If only they new that if they had a lot of loot customers would boost even more! not having loot is being naive about money.
