The NEW one and only loot is good or bad thread

1. Total cost
The total amount of gold required to max out everything is 2,875,201,950.
7 maxed out gold mines generate 7*3,000*24 = 504,000 per day.
It takes 5704 days (15 years) to break even!!!!

2. Global resources
People will comment on point one: "I am farming. So it doesn't take 15 years."
Understand that EVERY player will need 2,875,201,950 gold.
If you attack, then you take away resources from someone else.
So every attack you do, is slowing down a different player.

3. Consumption bigger than production
As long as the consumption is bigger than the production, there will ALWAYS be a shortage.

4. Increase levels of collectors is no solution
Every level of collector will only delay the recovery process. If a new level will increase the production with 500 and the upgrade costs are 300,000. It takes up 25 days to break even!

5. Endless nexting
Nexting cost gold. Gold is lost forever. And only if you WIN the battle then you might break even with the league bonus. Gold is lost with billions of nexting by millions of players. The gold is lost, thus players can no longer loot this!

6. Excessive resources
If you have full gold storages, then STOP attacking! All gold from the next battle is lost forever, including the league bonus! This also means there will be less gold available for all players.

Conclusion
There has never been enough gold in the game for all the active players to max out everything! Every time we press the next button, gold is lost, thus less gold available to loot.

Solution
Wait 15 years.
Buy $12,000 dollars worth of gems.
Try to find loot, knowing you are slowing down other players.
Quit playing.

This is totally correct. It is too easy for people to slip into intolerant, rude, and offensive behavior just because two people have different perspectives on the same game. We all know it is a different game for a TH5 than a TH10, and likewise your loot experience is going to differ from any other clasher's on any given day, just as your loot experience will differ from day to day.

That said, I habitually count nexts and have for some time now, and while I don't have a spreadsheet to back it up, I can say my experience has been that I routinely hit 100+ nexts now and am not surprised by it. Before the update, it was very rare to go over 100. Previously, the average was around 50 for a 200/200 barchable base, now it is about 100. So loot is about half as good as it was, or twice as bad (depending on your point of view :rolleyes:).

Next, I feel that many people should be angry with themselves for clamoring for elixir walls--many, many still support the bad idea--when it was clear from the outset that elixir walls would negatively impact the game's economy. Many people posted warnings to this effect, but they were shouted down by the masses who only thought about the impact that elixir walls would have on them, not the game overall.

Last, I think SC has been extremely responsive and receptive to user feedback. This update, and the elixir walls that came with it, are proof of that. If we ask for it, Supercell will give it to us--if it also makes sense for their bottom line (they are a smart, successful business, not a a fat man in a red suit who gives out free video games to children, even if they both have the initials S.C. ;)).

Bottom line is that we can't take this update off our christmas list... it's too late. But we should be sure that before we clamor for the next "great" idea, we think about how it will affect the whole game, not just ourselves.

Anyway... I'm sure I'm wrong and many will tell me why. Thanks for reading.

And the only ones not consuming their production are the inactives. However, the inactive bases are severely limited from showing up on raid searches.

This is not to say that everyone should rely on collector raids. There can be bottom-feeders (that do rely on collector raids), as well as mid to tops that feed and rely on the lower active base storages as they save for their own upgrades.

But since:

1. Almost all resources in the game are generated from collectors
2. Active players are constantly consuming resources
3. Inactive players are constantly generating resources (but not consuming them)

In order for there to be a healthy economy, there needs to be a better balance between the amount of resources being produced and the resources being consumed.

As demand increases, the supply source (or the amount of inactive bases allowed to show up in searches and thus be raided at any given time) could be increased. As demand decreases, so could the supply source by limiting more inactive bases on searches.


This would not create a loss of revenue for SC. To the contrary, it would keep many customers happy. The ones that would gem resources would do it anyway. There will always be those people who don't want to put in the work of raiding to save up for upgrades and will gem their resources or boost collectors. There will also always be people who don't want to wait for that 2-week upgrade and will gem the time. Better available resources also prompts people who wouldn't normally buy gems to boost their barracks, spell factory, heroes, etc.

A bot (which I reported but SC chose to ignore) I am watching gained 16M gold and 14M elixir in the last 24 hours with boosting.

There is loot. We have to agree on this. But not everyone can find it.

SC see the same data........., their conclusion: there is loot.

Ive played a long time, not since the beginning but since October 2012.

It has never taken this long loot to get back to normal.

I farm at 3400 and beg every time I press next that I see a "bluewalled" paradise in the middle of the desert :)

Good thing that people at SC are monitoring, thumbs up for that. Never thought I have to start looking at cups (that are hard to get) AND elixir at the same time :D

Keep it people, take a week shield if you can and enjoy the sunny days of autumm here at the northern hemisphere, I have to settle with my three day shield ;)

The game is effed up, don't have to be Sherlock to see this. Im off for a week. If nothing changes, then im out. My finger hurts from hitting next all the time. All i see are 20-70k bases, lame on your part SC.

I've floated from low champs to gold 1 over the last few months, constantly looking for a sweet spot and here's my general observations:

Finding inactive bases for quick-strike BAM raids (15 min cook time) takes about 5x longer than it did in the "good ol days" (before the loot calculations were changed at the end of 2013 - I was upgrading to TH10 at this point)

Finding bases that can be raided for 2-3 of each collector with a strong army (3-4 spells at least so 2+hours wait unless boosted) takes around 2-3x longer than the "good ol days"

Of course things are way worse recently because of the latest update, but that's to be expected.

A lot of folks have been around since before the loot calc changes took effect and therefore remember how things once were; today's game is vastly different (essentially requiring more time invested) so it's understandable why people are complaining.

I do find myself playing less and simply barching for league bonuses in masters. I still find it to be a very fun game but share a bit of the frustration others feel.

I really do not understand the logic for no league bonuses for defensive wins. Maybe that'll reduce the number of people hiding behind sniped TH shields and boost the number of bases we see with decent loot.......

I'd cheer for the loot bonus for a defensive win, but only above 2600. Under that just misuse would occur, gold league would become a safe heaven for maxed TH10s.

Yeah, but what's the point of hanging around in the gold league if you're a maxed TH10? You have nothing left to upgrade.

lol I can see people now... divebombing cups with 1-unit drops, giving out free loot to everyone on the way down...
