I think many of you fail to realize that this game has a bigger loot penalty the higher you go.
I see many saying loot is great at th7 and th8 therefore loot is great!!! Well too bad it's not the same when you hit th9+
The loot penalty at th10 pretty much means you can only hit th9s and other th10s if you want anything over 50k loot.
Obviously hitting th9 and th10 with barbs and archers is not the most effective way to get to the storages but at the same time it's the only way you can attack bases and recoup army costs without having to next yourself to sleep.
I would like to use other troop compositions more often but this means one of two things:
1) attack low loot bases and take an elixir and gold loss or
2) attack high loot bases which means nexting for 20 minutes. This is what most ppl here are starting to hate about the game. Nexting so damn much just to find a base that will cover army cost is very very tedious and not everyone likes it.

There are a lot of times where I will break my shield to search, and next for 15 minutes and grow bored - never attacking a player and leaving my shield down to get attacked again.
The bigger overarching problem I think is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and other tools to keep you online for longer periods of time. I notice significantly better loot in my newsfeed than when searching, and 95% of the time "that player is online" and even if I camp out and check in on the players every couple minutes they are constantly "online." This causes problems in the ecosystem where bases with heavy amounts of loot find ways to not be searched.
LOL this game is now completely pointless. I next for half an hour to save up for level 6 troops, getting around 600k of each per hour at best. Being one of the few people in my league with any loot, I log of and am immediately two/three starred, losing 300k elixir and 1k de.

The reason I said that was because when i was a th9 like 2 months ago I usually found storage raids all the time from th8s and at 8pm for about 2 or 3 hrs i would find collectors. 2 attacks an hr with 16 loons 70 mins. I am at EST you can just find a time zone converter and change it too yours. Another thing I can suggest is maxing your heroes or getting them to 20ish first and then storage raiding or bamming at gold 1/crystal 3. I dont know how th th9 climate is, but my advice is basically to find out where the th8s with 200-250k in their storages are hiding.Quote:
