tH10 here, farming range 2400-2500.
Crystal I raiding is still poor. I've now dropped down to crystall ii range, given up on going after the loot bonus.
Disappointing the old thread was buried. Out of sight, out of mind...
good or bad?
my answer is bad, im th9 and difficult to get good loot.
Too much disappointing post from customers must be your first concern, SC.
If you keep it like this you're gonna have a bad time..
Loot sucks, no idea why supercell doesnt do a one gem boost
I am a Master II on most days. I tend to hover at 2800, so sometimes I dip into the 2700 range and I will drop if I get above 2850 (trophy hunting territory)
I did recently got to champs. I was able to maintain loot doing GoVaPe until I hit the region where finding a decent trophy offering is difficult (then you take whatever you can get). However, my time there was limited in terms of this update.
Before Update - Even though I am in Masters II my bread and butter is still collectors/mines. Basically I farm as high as I can while still finding collector bases. In my range, basically its not profitable to attack bases until they amass a certain amount of loot. So you can find bases that just aren't touched for extended periods of time. I do not do storage raids often because my profit margin is slight at best (unless those infernos aren't protecting storages). I am also grinding hero levels, meaning I don't bring heavy hitters into play (storage raiding with heros and Golems is 100X easier than without)
I do not think the effects of elixir changes have set in. I am still amassing them for upgrades and will do so for at least 8 more days. For the farmers out there, I imagine they are doing like me. Getting those barbs/archers maxed and unlocking the lava hound.
But nexting is a problem for me, though I am not commenting on loot being good or bad. I can generally find loot, with the exception of weekends or random dry spells.
The issue is that I have to spend 80K-100K+ on nexting. Which is fine, BUT that takes me time. I am a "lazy farmer." The reason I like masters is that I can raid, log off, log-in, raid and repeat. I have an advanced base and not many attacks who are loot minded are willing to bother with it. I don't even protect my loot exceptionally well.
When loot is moderate to "good," I can find something reasonable in about 5 minutes. However when loot is "bad" its more like 10 and when it is "terrible" I might spend like 15 minutes on it and then settle on breaking even. This is an issue of me because I do not have lots of spare time. When I can count on 10+ minutes of searching, I log in less. When I log in less, I take myself out of the line up probably an extra 2-4 times a day. And obviously I made less profit during the course of the day. (What I mean, is that I don't break shield often when search times are long)
Being casual in play is hard at the moment. Even if you lazy farm, the search times are problematic. I do not blame the loot system. I like that change. I do not blame the wall change. I don't think that has truly had its longs term effects yet (for us Th10 players, anyway). However, loot production caps at Th8 (any additional generation after that is minimal)
Clan Wars are fun but don't truly generate loot. They add more gold into the system and that is good, but by and large they take more elixir (both types) out of the system than they generate.
For me, what I would like best is one or both of the following
1) Higher collector/mine levels
-faster producing loot, means bases are "ready to raid" faster in masters - meaning farmers have more in their storages and are willing to break shield more often to gain access to loot
2) Better League Bonuses
-Part of the allure of masters is the high loot bonus. It basically covers the cost of searching, which is huge. It also allows me to afford to spend more on spells/troops. However, until masters this bonus is only minor in terms of loot. I suggest that starting in Crystal III that bonuses are significant.
Example
Champion - 200,000 - 200,000 - 1,000
Masters I - 160,000 - 160,000 - 900
Masters II - 130,000 - 130,000 - 800
Masters III - 100,000 - 100,000 - 700
Crystal I - 75,000 - 75,000 - 600
Crystal II - 60,000 - 60,000 - 500
Crystal III - 50,000 - 50,000 - 400
This would make trophies significant. Though getting a shield from sniping would likely need to be made more complicated. Otherwise undefended TH would become easy ways to defend yourself. Perhaps requiring a Th loss + 30% to gain 1 star.
Those were just through out there in terms of numbers, but I feel they'd be allot better than what is currently given for the loot bonus.
The thing like all games all they care about is the money, they know the loot is bad and without putting any fairness in the game the loot will continue to get worse. By fairness I am referring to these lvl 100 and above players with th10s dropping to gold and silver to show their lack of skill and attack bases they can faceroll. Now I know some of you will try and argue but if they continually drop this low to take loot it leaves none for the players that are at that lvl of play. This in turn makes it harder for these players to loot bases their lvl so they themselves can advance without spending money on gems. There is no reason that there cannot be a lvl cap on how low you can drop to attack someone since it should only be fair that is you attack someone they should have a fair shot at revenge to get their loot and trophies back. Since Supercell is not about fairness and only care about money this will not change and the looting situation will continue to get worse. That is okay though because like I said many of you will defend them for allowing high lvl players to attack lowbies or make excuses as to why it happens. The simple fact is that the lvl of a player needs to be factored into who they get matched against as well as town hall lvl and trophies. This is the only thing that will fix the looting issue and as much as you argue the fact is that when more players drop to lower lvls because of loot the less loot will be available because those lowbies will get tired of being a loot bank for them and quit. Which is beginning to happen as we can see by the lack of loot available to players attacking, but like I said in the title SUPERCELL DOES NOT CARE.
