The NEW one and only loot is good or bad thread

I had originally posted a thread about when/why the "golden hour" happens. Seemed like a distinct issue that is different from whether loot is good or bad and loot economy. So does any thread that mentions loot get merged here to die? I think if my thread had remained separate the conversation would have continued on that specific topic through Tuesday.... but now its just buried in this monstrosity.

The one star App Store rating was attempted with the heroes. It went no where.

If loot is truly a problem for everyone it is likely to show up on the App Store ratings of this update. I just read through 60 reviews and couldn't find a low rating relaying to loot. The update is 4.5 stars so far.

I have no loot problem. my trophy is 5950 and I am farming in SC's headquarter.

When an update happens we always get a LOT of threads in general about whatever is the "issue of the day" - this time it is the effect on the economy of the update. The problem atm with the economy of CoC is that its a spiral of decrease in the resource supply. This game really has just 4 sources of income, the singleplayer mode, warloot (for the winner) and collectors and gems (but I think those supplies gets used instantly, that is the assumtion). All other incomes are just changes in supplies between players, no new capital. So I think its safe to say that with the new walls for elixir, and a new barrack upgrade + all the new players an update brings, the income system can't keep up.

1 gem boosts are not enough to get resources into the loot system, we need something else, another income, that creates capital, not changing it between ppl. So atm we have something like a spiral of decreasing supplies. The more people buy in CoC, the less saved resources, and buildings cant be traded, so the loot is gone as fast as a wall for elixir is built, as an example. So if the overall Supply of resources goes from an average holding of 1 million elixir/gold to, lets say, 500k/500k, then that is the new supply of resources on averge an average players has in CoC, and that can only increase with the 4 sources of income. Those 4 incomes are accumulating to slowely, and in scarce times, ppl buy more cheap upgrades than expensive, which also decreases the resource supply, as players dont save for more expensive things. Please do something Supercell, things are too expensive. Heavy hitting armies, clan wars, upgrades, everything is getting more and more expensive, and dont forget the time we invest in the game, it gets higher and higher with less reward. We want you to keep us feeling rewarded for our efforts, we like this game you know. Thanks!

A suggestion would be something like rewarding the attacker with bonus loot, which is calculated on the % you manage to destroy. So if you destroy 100% you get all the bonus loot, which has to be quite massive in my oppionion. If you chose to th snipe, then u get nothing of the bonus loot, maybe like 3% of it. The scaling of this will be on supercell to decide. An Income like that would be really good to fiddle with depending on the CoC overall economy.

i am assuming you are joking right? 2.5 hour spell build, 300+K troop cost for a 330K gold profit. at that rate you may be able to pull in 5+ mil for an upgrade in about a week. IF you can tolerate that SC has done its job and locked you into this game for years to come.

I'm glad I didn't start playing this game before December of '13, as it sounds like the game was so glorious before I started that people can't stop living in the past.

Believe me, we will spend even more money once we are enticed with actual improvement in gameplay and the game economy. Otherwise, every barch army we make and then settle on a 50+ nexted 100k collector raid puts one more check mark in the box of mediocrity, and our bank accounts will remain closed to you.

I completely agree. I started playing in January and got to th9 with 300 mil gg. I feel like I joined during the downward spiral. Each month is harder and harder to find good bases. I dont know if its because of supercell, or because of people finding more ways to exploit the game with autosearchers. I got attacked last night by another sandbox auto attack the exact (and I mean EXACT) same way as before a few weeks ago. each unit was placed perfectly apart around the top left hand side of my base and rotated between different troop types. The attacker was probably asleep and his machine was doing it all for him over night. I think this method is becoming more popular and Supercell has no way of stopping this massive amount of exploit or h a c. k on the game.
