Building or Traps to Counter Dragons

I would like to build a dragon attracting feature (upgrade, or trap) that I would call pigs on a stick. Kinda self explanatory. With the ability to upgrade it to "pigs on a balloon".
The pigs on a stick would attract one dragon for one pig until the dragon had roasted or eaten that pig. Pigs on a balloon would attract one dragon for one pig but the balloon would float off screen with the dragon following it off screen. Maybe with an option to catch and eat it?
I'd also like an option to upgrade or buy (like for 8 million gold and an insane cool down) a trap or building called "princess on a balloon". (no princesses on a stick thank u) Which would float off screen attracting all dragons off screen with her. And no they can't catch and eat her.:-) _Or_ maybe they can.... Hmmm.

It is funny. Should hog riders also target it even over all other defenses? (Because they are offended at such treatment of their beloved pigs)

As far as a 'dragon bait' building, I think the cc and storages do this pretty well already. The Dragons AI is designed to favor going for them first.

And if the hog riders do rescue any pigs should that spawn extra hog riders?

Nice thinking! But not a Hog Rider just a Hog, 1/2 HP, 1/2 DpS would be interesting.

traps dont bother heros golems pekkas.. dragon is a similar unit- why should traps effect them and not the other troops?

I was just having me some fun. I actually don't think they should adopt the idea. But it was certainly creative and good for some grins.

I came up with the idea after the umpteenth time I got hit with a wave of 12 dragons and 5 rage spells. :-/ And four air defense towers to defend with. _sigh_

I agree that the princess on a balloon idea is over powered. A better balance would be to have each dragon have a 30% chance of following her off screen.

The pig on stick or balloon should come from a building. If u had to convert an air defense tower to a pig farm and limit the number of pigs per farm, it would add to your strategic choices.


I definitely like the pig riders liberating pigs idea. To take that farther destroying high level gold mines could spawn goblins, high level elixer mines could spawn archers. I would like high level elixer storages or dark elixer storage to blow up when destroyed.

If you're going to make it a chance the dragon follows, it would be related to how close the dragon is.

You could also use this idea to create traps or buildings that wastes time for hogs, goblins, or other troops while they get hit by defenses (fake mine for goblins, feeding trough for hogs).

I also think that if the dragon follows the princess, maybe it eventually makes its way back to base. Either way though, I know drags with rage is popular, but with leveled up air defense and a well-designed base, level 3 and even 4 dragon armies often only get 2 or even 1 star.
