Advanced GoWipe Strategy Keys and Tips

Yea Ash, they sure do have a good point. Most troops (not all necessarily) need to breach the core and wipe it out, and then focus on the rest of the base, reason being that's usually where all the big guns are. Also, that'a guaranteed two star, so it's a win win situation. Nothing is worse in life than a 99% 1 star!

I didn't lure cc troops because I use them to pull pekka at my BK to the core then use rage once they are inside and lightning all the cc troops. ( I am thinking of replacing lightning with either heal or rage but I am not sure which one to use).

With this approach 1 or 2 stars is guaranteed. So far I didn't fail even my pekka wandered off and go around the base.

But I am curious if are there any th9 gowipe compositions that can 3star a maxed th9 base. And can anyone suggest a better composition to my current one?

Just to be honest - three starring a totally maxed th9 with those level troops would be next to impossible. Two stars, however, are most certainly possible. Just continue to level up those troops. I would suggest dropping one of those pekkas and adding wizards in their place.

To avoid the pekkas and heroes going off the beaten path and around the base be sure to clear outside structures with wizards after deploying Golems. This is probably the most crucial point in the attack. When golems, wizards, and wallbreakers have been deployed THEN you can drop heroes and pekkas in the center and they'll head toward the heart of the base.

Thanks for your feedback, Ash. I will try removing 1 pekka and try it on my 2nd war attack. I am planning to upgrade golems in the lab continuously til lvl4. Only golems and heroes upgrades are the only ones that can keep my attack stronger. Do you have something to suggest to my spells composition or my cc troops reinforcements (my clanmates have already maxed all de troops except for lava hounds)? And it is not advisable to use gowipe if there are no heroes available? I managed to got 2stars (66%) on my first attack on our current cw even my AQ is upgrading. But I didnt try using a gowipe if only AQ is available (i usually switch to loonions attack if that is the scenario).

I isn't really advised to use GoWiPe attacks with heroes unavailable. Could you succeed? Of course. But you're probably better off using loonions or drags and the royal you do have for cleanup if needed. Royals play such a crucial main role in a Golem based attack that it's very hard to compensate without them.

As far as clan castle goes, I'd try taking 223 in with you. Two witches, two wiz, 3 arch or barb. Unless luring enemy CC, don't use your own CC right away but rather deploy with pekkas and heroes (if available) once an obvious path to the center has been made available.

Tried replacing pekka with wiz and have a better result even most of my wiz were fried inside the core. 4 gbs inside the core is wicked. With that scenario I always think of replacing lightning with healing spell instead.

• Do you think it ever makes sense to save some troops from deployment, as in wait until your main army is already in/past the core to perhaps help clean up the trash on the sides?
• Would you ever stack rage and heal, or should one generally be enough (for example, vs cc troops, a heal should keep your tanks alive but I still instinctively like to throw a rage as well)
• At what hero levels would you start expecting a solid TH9 gowiper(with max troops) to start picking up 3 stars vs a max th9 defense. How big of a difference have you noticed a combined royal lvl of 20 do vs 30 for example

Hi tyler

This is a bit away from the thread but the only but i can offer my experience.

At th8 I farmed in silver 1-3 exclusively. My troops composed of 15 giants 8 wb 5 wiz and the rest any combination of barch and sometimes goblins instead of barbs.

I only ever used the wiz if the defence was hard.

Also if i saw a base with outside mines and collecters and the storages look empty i attack the mines only if they have a lot of loot of course and quit. This usually uses up my barch. If the mines are close to the walls with defences i would drop a couple of giants 1st as meat shields before dropping barch.

hey guys i'm th9 right now but I made the mistake of going to th8-9 too fast, so Im having a few difficulties as I didn't max my troops and defenses, but working on it.

is gowipe possible if my troops arent maxed at all?

i have
lvl 1 golems
lvl 5 wiz
lvl 2 pekkas
lvl 1 witches
lvl 5 bombers
lvl 5 spells

what composition could suit my troops?
I got 25 spaces in my CC but i'm the best player in my clan and don't wanna change (all friends)

What about gowiwi or loonions? i have lvl 5 loons and minions upgrading to lvl 4. BK lvl 9 and AQ lvl 7

i'm trying to push to master league right now (now in cristal 1) but i'm mainly barching/sniping, so i'm mainly doing 1 stars.

Sorry for the delayed response! Busy weekend! To answer your questions...

- I personally don't like to hold my troops that long (until they get into the core). I've seen some attackers do that but I must admit that is the exception rather than the norm. I think it's best to have the brunt of your firepower enter the inner sanctum of the base together rather than staggered. Just from a DPS/HP prospective it makes sense. However, that's not to say it's a bad idea to hold of a few wizards to stagger in after an obvious path to the center becomes obvious. I just wouldn't personally go too far in holding off golems/pekkas/royals for too long.

- I admittedly didn't GoWiPe much as a th9 so other people here could probably get you better advice regarding stacking heal and rage. That said, I LOVE the heal rage combo using valks to the mix. So I can def see bringing 1 heal spell to the battle in place of a freeze spell for th9s.

- Three starring a max th9 base has a lot to do with the actual base setup. Generally speaking the more spread out the base the better as the heavy concentration of defenses can do a number on GoWiPe attacks if the setup is effective. I'd say that with level 20 heroes it should be possible, though - or even less if the base design is really weak. Regardless, continue getting those heroes up as they're really the most important unit in a GoWiPe attack.
