Thanks for posting. I have been looking for a more advanced guide. A few questions:

In general, After you drop golems, what is next wall breakers or wizards?

For TH8 what are your thoughts on luring CC vs raging on them vs lighetning

Also at TH8 what spells? 3 rage? 2 and and 1 heal? Or 1 lighetning for CC?

Finally, I see how to get 2 stars usually, but , against a weaker opponent, what would you do to try for 3 stars? Or is 3 stars just luck at TH8 with no jump spell or archer queen

Thanks for the questions and for watching the video.

To answer your questions - deployment order should go as follows:

golems (3)
wall breakers (away from wizard towers, but between golems)
pekkas
king
witches (if you use them)
queen
wizards (if outside buildings are present, deploy half before pekkas to clear obvious line of travel)

Hopefully before you deploy wizards the nearby mortars and wiz towers will be taken out.

Always be aware of splash damage on your wizards.

Just to be brutally honest, a GoWipe is a very tough strategy to execute with th8 and even th9 unless you're going against similar level bases (th8s and 9's). The reason being due to xbow and inferno freeze becomes a vital way to neutralize both CC troops and the defensive units.

With that said, If I was going to use GoWipe as a th8 or th9 I would bring 3 golems, 3 pekkas, and 8-14 wallbreakers (depending on what type of base you were attacking), 2-3 archers to pick off outside buildings, and the rest wizards.

I would indeed draw out the CC troops, if feasible, and take them out with a lightning spell. Leaving you 2-3 rage spells (th8 / th9)

Remember, never use a rage on heroes or golems solely. Target rage onto your pekkas and wizards.

Lastly, for three star strategy check out this episode of Clash With Ash. Although it's th10 you'll get the general idea of keys to securing a 3-star-victory. Hope that helps!

I am surprised to see you suggest wizards before pekkas. I thought you need wizards to clear building so pekkas move to core?

No heal. Rage much more useful if cast effectivity.

As far as deployment order, I should have made a note, when there are buildings outside walls deploy 1/2 wizards after WBs (and golems) to clear an obvious path for Pekkas. When there aren't outside buildings deploy wizards last.

I'm TH9 trying to push for champ league. Start using GoWiPe on M3 onwards, now stay at 2728 on shield.

My troops:
2 golem (lv 4)
3 pekka (lv 3)
10 wb (lv 5)
16 wiz (lv 5)
1 arch (lv 6)
4 rage (lv 5)
CC (7 wiz + 2 arch)

No problems so far with the troops, since already training using it on clan wars, the only problem is the waiting for troops :(.

Looks about right! I prefer 3 golems but when gowipe pushing its really a good idea to be very picky on trophy gain as well as boosting barracks and dark barracks. Best to get the full bang for your buck in terms of time invested. Don't settle for bases with less than 20 cups offerings. Good luck on your champ bid!

I really love your threads, keep up the great work. I am TH8 and have really gone over to almost exclusive GoWiPe for wars and my current trophy push. I am in Crystal 2 now, should make Crystal 1 this week Your tips have really helped me a lot. I mainly go after TH9s and the occasional TH10 (due to not a lot of TH8s in C2). Have to be very selective on base selection, but as you say if you understand the strategy you can be successful.

I actually fell into this attack technic because my clan has a fair amount of TH9 members who aren't very good in the wars and end up attacking down, so I attack up. I found it to be one of the better strategies to have some success attacking higher THs, thus my current trophy push with GoWiPe is great practice for the war
