New raiding idea: New use for mortars

Wouldn't it make sense that your mortar in your village can bombard the people you are attacking? It could be an alternative to using a lightning spell, and to refill your mortars shots after a raid you would fill it like an x-bow. There would be an option to set it to attack or defend and it would have a cool down after attacking, which would be about six hours. This could be sped up by gems so supercell can profit. The higher the level of the mortar, the more damage(as usual) and shots that can be fired would increase(3-6 shots max total of all mortars)

I like the idea! Kinda like artillery fire in real life where the bombard cannon is fired far away from the target's range.

I would like to add these things:
- 12hr cooldown per mortar use
- 1 shot per mortar every use
- woul not cost anything for each use unless it is sped up
- cannot affect town halls

With 2 years of my experience firing howitzers in the war zone, the idea is pretty much acceptable because it doesnt break the "fourth wall" (the boundary of fictional and non-fictional ideas)

think about the top 200 players attacking your base with 2-3 shots per mortar.

2-3 shots to 3-4 mortars lvl5-7 = 6-12 shots all in all

This idea is worth placing in the sticky!!! Anyone agrees with me?

This needs to happen

I like the idea, but whats the main reasonm why mortars are so good? AREA damage.

A mortar is so good as it can take out dozens of troops at once. It actually has the lowest damage of any defence.

But against buildings, splash damage wouldnt do much: the mortars splash radius isnt big enough to affect many buildings at once.

And once the mortars put in, in the next update there might be teslas u can attack with. Then cannons. Then archer towers. And that would ruin the game.

But even with the splash thing, i think its a GREAT idea. And as long as thats the only defence u can attack with, Id love to c it in the game!
