Dear Hay Day, I need axes!

Up until the honey bees, I was able to keep up with my need for axes. I always kept some in store, and I didn't have any problems. Since the honey bees, though, I have used all of my store (I have 2 left) and have been searching and searching for more. I spent several hours harvesting wheat looking for them, and only found one in all that time. Please, please, please make axes more available now that the demand is higher for the honey bee production. Thank you and I love this game! ;)

PS I even ordered a gift box that might have had axes, but got shovels instead.

my whole neighborhood is in the same boat....we all have a lack and shortage of them! I haven't found a single one in the papers either

Oh sorry, I am totally new here. I just saw a trading thread, but I'm not sure how that works :mad:

I was just calculating my need for axes since I rarely receive them as well.

Cutting back on the quantity of bushes may help. I have 6 bees and 4 bushes. I'll need 4 axes every 5 hours of honeycomb production. That's manageable.

wow thanks!! but if you cut back on the qty of bushes wont you need axes more often?

its really simple, you can look at the other posts within the trading thread and see how people write it then draft your own. when you both has agreed on the terms, simply add each other in the game. if you're selling first, place 1 wheat ag the last slot of your shop, wait for yr partner to buy then put the stuff up. then go over to their farm and wait for the wheat and items.

Second, before you enter into even a single trade, be sure to thoroughly read the very first post of both trading thread, which contain the general guidelines that most traders use to make trade easier for everyone. Also, make sure to read the warning that trading is not a designed game feature and each trade is entered with all risks known and accepted.

Yes.

Axe drop rate differs from farm to farm so needing 4 axes every 5 hours of honeycomb harvest is very manageable on my farm. Other farms may drop axes at a higher rate to handle more bushes.

But we still need axes for all the usual stuff on the farm too. I used to have enough axes, but I cannot keep up now. Those pollen bushes get used up so quickly!

This is true. Seems to fall in line with resource management. You have to find what works just as you did with the fruit trees and bushes.

So however many axes you were using prior to the bees, add a minimum of 2 more per 5 hours of honeycomb production given the usage of 2 bushes per hive.

Hi Holidae, I'm super sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. Add a minimum of two more axes or two more bushes? Are you saying that the number of axes I get depends on the number of bushes i plant? Thanks for explaining! =)

No worries.

What I'm saying is don't buy a lot of nectar bushes all at one time. They tend to die around the same time which means you'll need a lot of axes around the same time or have dead bushes decorating your farm.

If you buy 2 bushes per hive you won't have to worry about accumulating a lot of axes at one time and won't suffer a collection of dead bushes.

3 bees deplete 2 bushes in 5 hours of honeycomb production time so you'd need 2 axes every 5 hours if you don't want them to clutter your farm. That's 2 additional axes on top of however many you were using prior to the bees.

(More accurately, it's closer to 6 hours i.e. 5 hours 40 minutes)
