Please can Super Cell remove all the flags? Or do something!

Please vote and rate the thread!

A lot of users on the forums are sick of the amount of threads we see based on trying to get their country flag added to the game. We explain that Super Cell are not adding any more flags to the game due to the addition of them creating extra lag on older devices, after all not all of us can afford the latest iPhone/iPad.

The removal of flags would stop these threads being made and would in some sense get rid of the playing card some users use of 'your're discriminating against us'.

I'm fed up of so please can something be done about it?

In the long run will save a lot people complaining. thumbs up from me.

Doesn't really bother me, I'd hate to lose my flag just because of a few threads on the forums.

Firethief I agree with you about those people who keep asking about to keep thier flag on coc and i know about those flag lags but why would you want to remove all the flag some people who play this game are nastionalist and patriotrist you simply anger them by removing those flags.Why don't they just put in on ruled out the ? And also if this happens will people get the gold back from the flags that's just been removed ?

Well the gold could be refunded or simply the flags would be replaced with something else.

However what happens to the flags people have already bought? Refund?

Also I dont understand how a tiny flag will cause lag... There are new troops, new defences and all other cool stuff but the lag I get hasnt changed after all these updates. So why does this flag lag?(Flag lag rhymes lol)

Bottom line, flags should be removed. Or we should have the right to report these requests.

I say make it only one fkag can be cerated but that flag's logo can be chnaged. So you buy a white flag and you can change it to american or britsih or whatever.

Wouldnt this way of thinking dictate that builders and resources should be removed first? After all, I would imagine that there are far more members "sick of" seeing 'stacked builder' and 'resource trading' threads.

Or you could just ignore the noobs that post they want a new flag.

Well mods delete threads that mention ideas that are ruled out, eg. the ones you listed ^. However, the addition of flags is 'ruled out' but not on the ruled out thread for some reason.

This gives users who frequently monitor IFR little ground to stand on when people suggest the addition of more flags for we can't refer them to the sticky.

See the problem?

We need all the flags removed from the game and replaced with something else that isn't so big scale. I mean where do you draw the line with what national flags you add to the game?

A similar idea of a 'universal flag' that you can scroll through the various national flags has been suggested- I personally like the idea but it hasn't gained much recognition.

So therefore it's wrong for those from omitted nations to be patriotic?If they can't be all-inclusive by including every flag from 146+ (i forget the current count) nations, then they're being exclusive and I for one despise elitism.

I'm an American living in the US, but that shouldn't preclude me from seeing the perspective of someone from the rather large minority without a flag to show their patriotism.

If they can't include every single world flag, then what's a valid argument for including any of them? One that doesn't sound like "Well, I'm from a 1st world nation, so nannynanny booboo, gimme my flag so I can feel special."

There are plenty of far more manageable alternatives to national flags, several of which have already been suggested in this thread.

In this videos first clip, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DLjTr4CmF2s, is a map, located in SC's HQ, Helsinki, showing the regions where clash is most downloaded. I would think that these areas are those most represented by the flags currently in game. With my above quote from Twister, it only makes sence that SC be practical in their decisions for adding new flags. Therefore, elitism, discrimination or racism are, in no way, deciding factors in this matter.

It really doesn't matter if a flag isn't on there. Because what actually matters is the base. Unless of course, a person is insanely patriotic about his country. No offence intended. But yeah, Supercell could add all the flags of the 196 countries, if you really think that's viable. :confused:

I think you've misunderstood the reasoning behind this thread. A lot of players want flags removed because we constantly get requests for flags on IFR even though its been stated before that Super Cell won't be adding anymore flags because of lag.

We keep getting people saying 'its discrimination' or 'you're being racist'.

Either the flags need to be removed, or all of them need to be added. Its driving me up the wall with people playing the racist card.

I personally want them removed because I don't believe my weary iPad 2 or iPhone 4 can cope with having to download more items- thus creating lag.

I think the main problem with removing the flags is that people might have paid real money for them (gold can be purchased with gems which can be purchased through in-app purchases in App Store) so taking them away from people is a delicate matter.

A lot of people, myself included, would get rather upset if they paid real world money for something in a game and then the company would come along and take it away from them just to reduce the number of feature requests involving that feature.

Flags are not just static images, they are all animated in a fancy fashion and if you have a few dozen of these puppies in your base it will inevitably slow down things and may indeed create lag!

Why should all people loose their flag becuase a few people are annoyed about some threads on a website? If it bothers you that much, ignore the threads?

There is the argument of equality because many there are many who don't get their country's flag. Besides, flags don't serve any real purpose so it's not like it's vital to the game. In fact, they hurt players since it decreases tree spawning due to the way they spawn. Or maybe SC is keeping those useless things around so that people get less free gems and need to buy them

I don't have lag and I have an ipod 4 and ipad 2 ipod 4 ihas the same speed as my ipad 2

I didn't say that you or I have lag but the reason they don't want to add more flags (or at least that's what many people say) is because more flags = lag. That means less flag = less lag

Exactly, no one is forcing people to view flag request threads and the titles make them very obvious 99% of the time, it amazes me that people are offended by something that they went out of their way to view.

At one point I would have agreed. Then I saw the idea about having a few blank flags, and you could choose what flag from what nation went on it.
Maybe a few of them would be fine. As they could add the flags, but until the player picks them, they are not really in use

I agree that country flags should be removed. Replace flag with CoC themed flags. Non-National flags are probably okay to keep. As much as I'd miss flying 'mercuh stars on CoC, it would be for the best.

It'd be awesome if Super Cell held contests for new flag designs as well (of course, any submitted design would be redesigned by a Super Cell artist). It'd be a great community building competition.

We need to force them to put all flags of countries into game, and they will need to put build limit(5) on flags, it's not a problem for them, but most of us would like to have a country flag near Town Hall.
Please start with europe, We haven't got any flag from Balkan,(Bosnia and Herzegovina,Serbia,Croatia,Macedonia, Monte♥♥♥♥♥). Please add them.

To be fair, they should just eliminate all flags, but give those who bought a flag or all of them (where do they get all this gold? must have been before the update... lol) a rebate.

Let people cash in their old flags and do away with them. The flags are annoying anyway. And who bought the pirate one... with gems? Really?

I'm proud of my country (the United States), but don't feel the need to demonstrate my patriotism in a game like this. It's amazing to me that people feel it's really important that they fly their country's flag on their base. If they did away with all flags, or just made flags available with CoC related themes (troops, shield colors, or whatever), I would be perfectly fine with it. Who cares about the "gold" spent on flags? Just refund it. The whole thing is silly, and the threads begging for "XYZ" flag to be added to the game are definitely annoying.

Also, how in the world (no pun intended) would simple animation flags lag your game? You have villagers walking all over the place, builders hammering away, stuff pulsing if you boost things, and let's not forget the physic effects from sprite projectiles and explosions and HORDES of barbarians doing thier thing when there is an attack. If several GIF animation flags are laging anything, stop playing CoC on that 486 CPU chip ran thing you call a mobile device and upgrade for once this decade.

One fix for that is to refund the player's gold

They can take my flags. No biggie to me. I only purchased them because my gold storages were maxed full and I was still on a long enough wait between builders that I needed to spend some loot. Think that was around th4 or 5. Everytime i raided for elixer I got too much gold with it, lol. Now they are there to take up space.

They could change them to gem boxes and I would be seriously deliriously happy!

This is a really old thread of mine- we no longer get multiple requests for flags anymore so I'd appreciate it if people can allow my thread to die in peace. :rolleyes:
