This method teaches you how to raid quickly and gain the most out of your farming raids with low cost troops.

Basic Troops such as barbarians and archers cost less and build more quickly. If you're farming, there's no need to use giants or any high level troops which take longer to build and cost more.

Giants take more elexir then goblins. Gob/archers/barbs trio is what I use while farming!

I only use 5 wall breaker. But I've seen a lot of videos where they use 10-12. What are the advantages of using so much since they now take 2 spots?

I have 12 with me at all times, but usually only use 6-8. At the 1400-1500 range, I feel I must have extra wall breakers with my barb/arch/gob combo.

I rather have a few extra WB incase I really need to get that last piece of inner wall holding all of the resources.

Plus 5 extra WB only costs you 10 archers. I think WB can definitely make or break a raid. 10 archers, not so much

Yes, I strongly agree with you on this. I always have 10-13 WBs just to get into that last inner resource compartment and it really pays off! This combo goes really well with the barb/arch/gob combo. Thanks for the advice OP! :D

Thanks, just don't be discouraged if it doesn't work out at first. Takes some practice getting used to the deployment of barbs

Nice video - just to be accurate, your army cost was about 60k not 30k like you mentioned in the video (your WBs alone cost 30k).

I like this comp too - I've been using it with a lot of success.

You may be used to the laid back feeling of having giants to rely on. But if you try using barbs instead, you'll realize that they are just as effective more a bit more work.

The total cost of your army (including the 25 archers in the CC and excluding the 6 wb's you didn't use) is 55,200 elixir (I notice you didn't upgrade your L4 wb's). Still pretty cheap. I may switch to a similar style when I'm TH9, but I've gotten used to my style of attacking at TH8 with giants and it's just a bit more expensive. Anyhow nice video. That base was a pretty average TH8 (not too easy like many other videos, but not too hard either). In fairness though it was clearly inactive for a while which made it a bit easier (no CC troops nor traps).

I actually only have to click about 5 times average to get a 150k+ base to loot. Luck or not, that's not a bad ratio.

Cool video ;-). I have a different strategy and it's hard for me to let go of what I'm used to but seeing videos like this makes me want to try out new combinations that are more cost efficient and seem to work well for others. I don't like how people critique the video as if there is one "best" way to farm resource, clearly this works for you well! I only had one question, what do you usually do when the troops pop out of the clan castle? We all know how a horde of level 6 archers/dragon/etc can affect our troop count!

Nice one, thats exactely how I farm. I have a slightly different ratio of Gob/Barb/Arch, but the combination and technique is exactely the same. And yes, I am an experienced hardcore farmer. Still TH8 and I did max it without gems and I have already nearly every troop/spell-upgrade and every wall on level8. So this technique is working for me. For some bases it takes a lot of skill though (namely good TH8 bases oder maxed TH7 bases). Cheers!

I find it very hard to use this strategy.

How do you avoid / destroy the wizard towers ?? They have been more deadly than the mortars.

Even when you deploy the barbarians in a line, they will group up eventually when they are a bit further into the enemy's base.. And thats the moment where the wizard towers just bash them till death while they are grouped at a random building.

Sometimes, I find that they die too quickly against TH8 bases.

Would you attack the side with shortest distance to the resource (to get the resource first) or to the mortars/wizard towers first (take out the defense first)?

Thanks for the great video. I have used this stragegy since. It works well in my trophy levels, 1200-1600. Of course, there are very strong bases with high level walls, xbows etc. I just want to skip. I learned from you video two important things:

1) it is good to have as many as 16 wallbreakers with you. You rarely need all of them, but it is lousy situation, if there's a juicy loot behind the walls and you can not get through. Then mortars and wizards rapidly smash your clustered infantry.

2) you need to drop your troops fast enough, in order to create efficient attack waves. Dropping them too slowly just getting them killed one by one.

When troops pop out, I usually try to lure them into a corner and kill them with barbs or use a lightning spell if it is a full castle.

Glad it works for you. Some th9 bases are almost impossible to break without dragons, but this strat comes very close.

Barbs can take a lot of damage if you upgrade them.

If the wiz towers are near the outside of the base, just send barbs in groups and they won't clump too easily. Make sure you have lots of archers behind them to deal damage. Continue sending barbs.

If the wiz towers are on the inside of the base, you should have already reached the storages. Just send goblins and barbs in groups so they aren't killed all at once. You should be able to take all resources before the wiz tower kills your troops.

This works well against any level troops. Just make sure you don't attack into bases that are too high level.

Nice video. However, one thing I would like to tell the OP, Giants do the job a lot better than the Barbs as they're the tanks that can take all the damages.

Actually, most of the time I am spilling elixirs, so I do tend to use Giants instead of the barbs.

The troop combo for me that worked best for me: 8 wbs, 10 Giants, 15 Barbs, 40 gobs, 66 archers, and 5 minions. If you ask why minions, those minions sometimes can really get the work done, so I always keep 5-10 handy.

your video vs. a TH9 is very nice -- a well executed attack with a nice use of troops and technique. but this video doesn't really mesh with your post re: fastest loot farming.

your strategy relies on 3 lightning spells and a bk and aq. not sure 1.5 hours of lightning spell creation time and 1 hour each of hero time qualifies as fast. without the spells and heroes, i think your troops would have been in big trouble.

furthermore, you only netted around 100k gold, 10k elixir, and 1k dark elixir. while that's nice dark elixir returns, i think the gold and elixir looted are low for using both heroes and 3 spells.

wouldn't you be better off using giants and a few barbs for loot farming? i'm not asking this to be critical -- i've seriously considered switching to all barbs and no giants (due to build times and elixir costs) but have found that giants just do better against mortars and wizard towers, which, in my opinion, are the bane of farmers and the best reason for not going all barbs.

Thanks for your reply. Normally, i wouldn't have used lightning spells, but to even out the advantage the opponent had (maxed mortars and wiz towers), i used lightning spells. Normally when farming, the barb method is quick and efficient without even using a single lightning spell.

Giving goblins a chance. Been using archer/barb combo with 4 wb. And leaving to much loot behind. Goblins would have picked it up.

one thing I think is important is: 3 min is a long time. Don't panic and send to big groups of any troop. :)

I would really recommend the Barbarian Archer army. If you just hit collector bases, you will make huge profits and be able to raid 2-3 times before you have to wait for more troops. If you have a 220 troop army, try 116 Barbs, 100 Archers, and 2 Wallbreakers (just in case). Works wonders for me.

I like your videos...subbed...have been trying it out this afternoon. It takes getting used to though and some bases I have not read very well beforehand but gonna try it more for a while - I'm a TH8 almost maxed but tried it since my troops are the same or higher (wb's) than yours were in video except for no AQ.

It really takes patience to roll out an attack like this. And you do it well. Sometimes I get attacked like this and it's very effective.

The slow rolling out of gobs and barbs so that they aren't taken out by the splash of wizard towers and mortors is the key. Plus focusing on when you can sneak in wall breakers when the wts and mortors are busy.

Prior to watching this video, I hit 1450 in hopes of getting my bk. I found an abandoned TH9 base, got 300k gold/elixir combined, and got 1,200 de from a de drill. I got one star, 46% could have gotten 50 but I didn't want to drop my bk. Overall true facts. My army comp is a bit different though. I barch, with one barracks maxed with barbs, 3 with archers. It usually is 60 barbs, and 120-30 archers. It varies depending on how many wb I have too. Halfway to my BK!

TH 7 Barcher w/ wbs here. Recently just added a couple goblins to my raids just to hit storages and it has been going pretty well. I really am thinking about trying this bag /wb combo. Goblins get in and out pretty quick
