How Can I Add A Footnote in the Forums?

I've been seeing users here in the forums with footnotes below their posts. How do I implement this feature? Thanks in Advance!

1) click "settings" at the top right of your screen.
2) click "edit signature" from the list on the left.
3) type your signature and save. :)
