5th builder?

Hello everyone, this is my first thread.

First of all sorry for my bad english, spanish is my first lenguage.

Anyway, i have to take a choice and i want some advice.

I have around 500 gems, and four builders. I'm level 55 and my town hall is level 7.

My question is: should I save my gems for the 5th builder (It cost 2000 gems) or I should spend it in the Barbarian King (500 gems to finish it)? Is it really useful a 5th builder? Is not a little expensive 500 gems for a Barbarian King? (I have 1700 of Dark Elixir)

Personally, I would not spend gems on the BK. The BK can be upgraded until level 40...spending 500 gems on 1 level is not worth it.

With that said, only get the 5th builder if you can keep all your builders busy. I know some people with 5 builders and they always have 1-2 builders doing nothing. I have 5 builders myself, but they are always busy, I feel like I need 6!

Builders are the most important gem investment. You might not be able to keep the builder busy now, but you will later. If nothing else, you can always keep one free to upgrade walls.

Save up for the 5th builder hut.

Absolutely no question....save for the builder!

I am not sure about this. It will take you FOREVER to earn another 1500 gems. I think that would probably take a year and that is assuming you weren't spending them on anything else. That said, i would much rather have a 5th builder myself than spending that on the barbarian king. Just depends on how much you raid and if you could keep all of those builders busy.

I'm 120 gems away from my 5th builder... Wish shrubbery would grow back faster, lol!:p

I know it can be really tempting to gem for the Barb King when you hit TH7. I think Super Cell specifically designed this to be so: You have a storage but no pump; it's possible to gather the amount but it seems so painfully slow. I think this is when a significant amount of players begin to buy there first set of gems.

However, there are better uses of gems than buying resources, in this case DE for Barb King. I suggest either saving up for that 5th builder. If you are active enough to keep your builders busy, than a 5th builder is the best investment. It pretty much is the gift that keeps on giving, paying for itself within a week or two completing upgrades that would cost 2000 gems or so within that time if you rushed the upgrades.

The second best option (or best if you already have 5 builders, or perhaps best if your not active enough to keep 5 builders busy) is gemming your barracks and spell factory and raiding constantly, farming as much resources as you can. Using the BArch strategy you can raid non-stop for 2 hours and collect 1-2 million or so (YMMV) per hour gold and elixir.

Don't gem the Barb King. You'll get the 10 K DE. Just plug away at it. You can zap DE storages (frowned upon) or better yet, do surgical strikes on DE storages, even if you lose trophies.

Its so easy to get 5th if you are active because so many achivement that have a lots gem
