Using Elixir for walls is a BAD idea!

You have ruined the game with the elixir to build walls update! Elixir is the grease that runs the game. You need elixir for raids, wars, troops upgrades, LOTS of elixir for expensive troops like dragons and pekkas. With this update you have made all that almost impossible to do in favor of building walls?????? oh sure if all I do is check in every other day it's a great way to spend elixir.... but for ACTIVE players? you can't be active if you cant raid enough elixir! after 30 raid before this update I would be up over a million in elixir, now after 30 it's break even. Update troops? forget it, donate good troops for clan wars? forget it, use high value troops in clan wars? forget it!

PLEASE reverse this update!!!!!!!

I don't usually use forums at all... I spent a lot of time and money on this game now it's broken I feel like I've been ripped off bad... want my game back...

Hey! Plz what is your TH level??!
Upgrading walls from level 6 with elixir is great. Maybe you are TH 7/8 so you do not use that, but the TH 9/10 have tons of elixir and they can not use them for any upgrades cause they have upgraded all troops to max. Now they can spend the tons of elixir on walls which all players need!

And please, Ideas and Future Requests forum is for ideas, not for angry players which just write their feelings in threads :D ... here are other forums for it.

Hey, i think it isn't that bad. I'll keep upgrading walls with gold and save elixir for troops. It's all about your personal choice.
Upgrading walls is expensive no matter what you'll use to make them.
If i choose to upgrade walls with elixir I'll make barbs and archers for attacks and still have fun. Don't have to win always.

With the new update you may use elixir but you don't have to. You can use gold as well. So if you don't like spending elixir why don't you just spend gold???

The issue is not the fact that you are going to run out of elixir now, because as mentioned, you can simply CHOOSE to continue upgrading your walls with gold only, as the game has always been. No one is forcing you to upgrade them with elixir, it can be as though this update never happened for you if you ignore the fact that elixir can now be used to upgrade walls!

The issue is this. Every time you are about to max out a base (only walls left or only a few defenses left), you have historically been left with an abundance of elixir because your offensive updates usually finished before your defensive ones (again, this is only for people who max out their bases at each TH level). Now, people will be able to dump that elixir into walls, creating much stronger walls than before, making it harder for everyone to raid and therefore, reducing the effectiveness of farming for all farmers.

I remember when I was maxing TH8 and TH9, I sat on full elixir storages for weeks. That is so much elixir wasted that I could have dumped into my walls to both finish maxin my TH faster, and developing stronger walls than I currently have! This is not fair. I didn't have the opportunity that these newer players have today because SC nerfed the game for these players who cried about it being too hard to upgrade high levels walls.

High level walls are SUPPOSED to be a difficult and long grind, that's what makes them unique and powerful, they are the fruits of your labor and at the end of the day, you can look back at your walls and feel accomplished at what your endless hours of farming has resulted in.

Now any Joe Shmoe will have equal or better walls than you with a fraction of the effort you put in. Way to give the new players an easy button, while the hardcore originals are left with a sour taste in their mouth.

It's as though we've been climbing 10-foot walls all this time, and with this last update, SC decided to create doors for everyone to walk through. What the heck!! We had to scale the damn tall walls, now people can just turn a knob? Balls.

Mixed feelings. Sure, walls are overly expensive with no real value to a base, thanks to overpowered troop combos that ignore walls completely. So a nurf was necessary.

Since the update, somewhat predictably, finding resources has become harder, thanks to elixer being dumped into walls. I found searching for 5 minutes before a chore, now its regularly over 10 minutes to find a satisfactory target.

In short, whoever it is that decides how to make CoC a better game, is clueless.

But, I can also see the point of Elixir for TH9 and TH10 walls where Elixir isn't as important

TH6 is way too low, players need the grind through TH8, just for the experience.
