I agree with all of this except later focus on gold. With the wall switch, I don't think elixir can be wasted like it used to. I think for most people elixir should now be even more important than gold. Three weeks ago, even as a new th10 I hardly ever attacked a base just for elixir - had to have gold or DE. Now I'd be happy with a big elixir take, like I just to be happy with a straight up large gold take. BAMming will be even more important.
IMHO, BAMming is the optimal th9 strategy (Barch probably at 8). Not sure of th10 yet, only two months in, but BAMming still seems optimal for build time and ability to clean up middle against bases that still have ATs, WTs, and ADs more near perimeter.
