Keep general attacks disabled when player is online, just enable Revenge. I don't think it will cause any unbalance.
You can even make it exciting or dramatic for the defending player when they are online.
The Revenge system isn't really useful today as players are online half the time and shielded the other half.
This change will also encourage players to buy a shield if they don't want to get Revenged - more $$ for Supercell!
Would you attack your enemy when they're awake? I wouldn't. Just be patient and wait out your opponent and strike when they are asleep! (offline)Quote:

Look, I tried to put it more nicely but why would Super Cell allow revenge attacks to be carried out when the owner is online but they cannot be attacked by anyone else via the attack button?Quote:

It just wouldn't work in my opinion.
Also, the top players would be revenging each other constantly, never being able to defend themselves. getting hit by lower cup count players with +30-50 offers, theyd quit the game in no time I imagine
