TH 9's that have 40-50 level 6 wall pieces, 3 level 8 pieces and the rest level 7 aren't the type that typically have 7.5 mil in elixir ready to go for level 6 archers, so it doesn't seem like a leap to think you'd just gem up the elixir too while you were gemming the days.. And you need a level 7 lab to get level 6 archers and giants. That takes 5 days, but you must have just gemmed that too.

To be quite honest it has been an odd few days since the update, I have experienced complete polar opposite outcomes to many raids. I am farming of course, townhall 9, I'm a decent farmer at townhall 9, and I have had some raids where I spend 100k and don't find anything, then 22 minutes later during the next raid, I get 375/300. So I see both sides of the dilemma, after the 2 maintenance breaks I did see some better elixir, gold was decent, but I feel like its still too early to jump on the quitters band wagon. I think we should give it a week or two and if things don't change or gain some sense of consistency with good/decent raids then all aboard the wagon. Just my thoughts :/

My bad on the calculation, forgot about the lab. Didn't upgrade my walls as I don't think itis that big of a thing to my defense for the cup level I'm farming at. But yeah I don't gem my research lab. Just a few days or my upgrade(one)

I realised why people are talking about my 24days + 5days for lab and research. My previous post was abit flawed. what i meant was i managed to farm all the gold and elixir before worker are free-ed up, thus adding up to 18days ;/. i only had 4 builders until quite a few days back when i brought my 5th so there is a few days leap before my 3rd max level wizard which makes up for the few days extra. i don't mean i had been at th9 for 18 days, 29 to be exact. Sorry for the mistake.(or i should say 28 since i gemmed a day off my archer) haha.

I can't speak for all farmers but for me, and many like me, upgrading walls isn't for defense, it's because my gold storages are constantly full and I need to do something with the gold so I can keep farming. Since you clearly don't have that problem, it would be very rare that you could still immediately get the 16.5 million in elixir needed for level 6 archers and giants.

It is very easy to farm for the elixir needed within the upgrade days before archer finish (which is 14) who can't farm 6m in 14days??... And it took me the exact same amount of days while upgrading my last elixir storage to max (another calculation flaw here) for me to farm up the elixir for archer. I typically just let my maxed out storage stay there because all my workers are busy working and I start another upgrade right after it finishes and the upgrade usually take all the gold (starting my lvl2 xbow soon, hopefully in an hr time when i get the last 1.4m) so, no time for walls

2. I don't have 6 million gold because I put it into my walls.
