Hey gang i thought as a bunch of us are mainly farming for the upgrade it might be nice to make a log of how we are getting on.
I've so far got:
One Archer Tower on u/g going to max
Archers in the lab on u/g going to max
One Dark barrack on u/g going to max
Target is a 2nd AT to max by tonight - 3.2 mil gold to go.
I am boosting barracks which I know some don't approve of but I don't have the time otherwise.
How are you guys and gals getting on?
There is no more elixir or anything. A pain really, as i just managed to learn to cope before the update :(
I've got 1 dark barracks going, and will start an AT after my next raid. Had to buy a lava yesterday so I didn't waste gold so I'm a little slow off the starting block. Barbs are in lab.
I'm going back to hunting DE for hero upgrades now. Business as usual.
I have only one Dark Barracks going to lvl 6, I farmed around a million gold and elixir today.
Loot typically sucks for me, I haven't found one decent raid yet.
I feel like i dont belong here. :rolleyes:
Got myself 1 archer tower going and almost enough for my second one. Lab is bussy but I guess I'll get those archers asap :)

I got an A/T going, halfway to the next one.
Have a D/B upgrading.
Have my lvl 7 archers researching.
Was able to clear 4 mil of each resource in a couple hours (boosting) after the big rush this morning, work just gets in the way sometimes.
Was in Crystal 1-2 at the time.

how could you start a DE barrack & still do the arcs upgrade I donno how you got the elix...

Started a DE racks, archers lvl 7, and one AT. Now just farming to fill my stores back up to do another AT but it's been rough finding any loot. Update happened while I was asleep so I missed that opportunity. Currently at 2700 trophies. Barching because loonion sucks with only 1 de racks.

I am really sorry to say that CoC feels like another job to me now, with an exception that I am not the one that is getting paid.

I've done three raids since getting in from work and am flat on gold and marginally up on lix (like by 80k)...
Loot is rubbish. Yes I understand that the update causes this but then maybe SC could do something about it - how about 90% off search costs for a week after an update? What? 90% is too much? Well even if I spent 100 per skip, I'd still drop 10s of 1000's on average before getting a raid. Im seeing single k raids, a few in the 30k region and now and again 60k. When I see 100k I honestly consider taking it despite this being spread over 4 storages on an active TH10 base...its ridiculous.
Every update is hype hype hype and then loot falls through the floor.
Me thinks that an economy change is needed...or at an absolute minimum open up chat while searching so we can at least chat to our clannies (which might limit the threads on here because lets face it, most peeps will start a thread right after or right in the middle of crappy next fest..

To answer the question...what I farmed in the days up to the update paid for the AT and the DE, what I farmed after the update cant pay for squat.
to repeat what I said in another thread... SC should have done the reverse... give one gem boost after the update not before..
I mean comeon, this saga is on from the very first updates... why we have to suffer for 8/10 days or go underground...
This time SC tried but the same is needed now not before when everyone was already plundering & saving for update...logic fails...
I've farmed for 6 hours and the below is what I have to show for it.
2 AT's going to max (1 was started after the update with the gold i was saving)
archers in the lab going to 7 (also done with elixir I saved up during the update)
1 dark barracks going to 6
1 lava wall using elixir
so basically I was able to farm 1 AT, 1 level 10 wall, and 1 dark barracks in 6 hours.
I have the exact same things upgrading. Not sure what I want to use my 4th builder for though. I will either do another arch tower or my other dark barracks. Then save my 5th for walls until everything finishes.Quote:

Same as OP except I'm not saving up for another AT but the other dark barracks to max.
Unfortunately my archer towers are only lvl 11 so I can't join you on that quest yet, but I did get the Archer lvl 7 upgrade going earlier today and gathered enough for the new level of DB... but no builders free until tomorrow.
Now I'm debating whether I SHOULD start on the DB or do some other upgrade (lvl up BK to new ability lvl or maybe get my third DE drill to max...). opinions? is lava hound really worth the hype?
Started both dark barracks to lvl 6 as I have 5 days left on my freeze. Then i started an at13, now sitting around 2,5-3 mil of each. Got some sweet de as well for my Barbie King.
Upgrading:
1 Arch tower to lvl 13
1 Dark barrack to lvl 6
Im at 2300 range right now.... Absolutely dry!
@Daddy, What troop composition are you using at 1800-1900 range? thinking of joining you.
Only been at it for a couple of hours but it has been appalling. I have dropped from masters 2 to crystal 2 and it is a wasteland out there for me.
Started the de barracks and AT, bought a wall and am doing little better than standing still.
I'm not upgrading my dark barracks for as long as possible. I have no need for the new troop and 9 days without a dark barracks is a nightmare for me. I'm working on my Archer Towers but the loot isn't great as many others have mentioned. It's a shame this wasn't addressed with the update because it's a problem that seems to be getting worse judging from the volume of posts about it over the last few months.
And why on earth would you drop to c2 from master? Crystal is as dry as the desert. It is even normally but especially now.. High master and high gold has much better loot availability, albeit it may often be in the storages.Quote:

Was getting used to 150k raids every 20-30 searches before the update farming around 2k cups. Things are far worse now, hope it's just because of the update rush. Dropped to your beloved 1800-1900 range and just spent 125k on searching. Saw one base with over 100k loot and it was a max th9 with storages in center and good base, unbarchable.Quote:

I'm a TH9 on the flip-side of that story. I was getting smashed by TH10s yesterday, but today I'm not boosting and I am dumping all my elixir into walls (as soon as I raid it), so things are much better. :)Quote:

My heart goes out to everyone that couldnt get on in first few hours for the loot rush. No point in complaining about loot now, its going to be awful with trillions worldwide having been dumped in all those things listed above.
Seems like I'm the same as most others. 1 archer tower, 1 dark barracks and archers in the lab. Halfway to the next archer tower but as so many have mentioned, the loot just isn't there tonight (at around 2400 trophies anyway).
I'm trying to figure out how I managed to get 2 archer towers going and couldn't make enough for 1 dark barracks. I couldn't make 3.5m elixir. Sure, I dumped my 8m on archers, but to make around 10m gold and no elixir with giants or barch is kind of troubling.
Hopefully the loot comes back because right now in crystal 3 i've had to search 100+ times(not exaggerating) for a raid with 150k gold or 150k elixir. Actually the sad part is dark elixir is more plentiful than gold and elix. I'm heading up higher in search for loot. As of right now I have my archer upgrading to lvl 7 and an xbow to 4 my archer towers aren't even 12 yet :). Give supercell a break guys the loot will improve maybe not not today but soon.
I got lvl7 arch going, 1 lvl 13 AT and a dark barrack.
First hour and a half after the update was killer, 3mil gold, 2.5mil elixir raided. Then the last 30 mins of my boost was so bad I didn't find anything worth attacking. And right now I'm searching and finding nothing lol
Well I reached my goal and put the 2nd AT on ug 45 mins ago - resting my tired fingers now :)
I'm at TH10, but not quite maxed. I still have cannons and archer towers left. One cannon is going to 12 (I normally do archer towers first, but I anticipated the lower cost, so I spent my gold on a cannon instead) one archer tower is level 11, and one is going to 13, just to have one. The rest of my archer towers are level 12.
Other than that, I just need to upgrade walls, heroes, and a few traps.
With that disclaimer out of the way, I'm farming just fine. Loot is a little dry, but that is to be expected just after an update.
I'm currently barching/bamming in Gold 2, and I've farmed about 3 mill each of gold and elixir so far today.
My lab is busy with level 3 freeze, and I will be starting level 7 archers next. I am currently sitting on about six mill elixir.
It must be so exciting with something to fight for again. Love the thread. Taking averages on what people upgrade first. Looks like I'm headed in the right direction.Quote:

Lab fired up making lvl 7 archers. Got to do lvl 7 barch asap, that's my jump off, although would love to do hound upgrade to use my overflowing de.
Probably did over 8 mil of each resource today, barching in Master 3. Loot came easy and I'm farming with a new found purpose! Just doing walls had become mundane. We needed this for sure!
I'm not prepared to drop below Champs just yet, so have compromised and done a little b-arch and some balloons, to save elixir mainly but some gold and DE would be nice too (very close to enough DE for king 26). So far I have yet to get anything underway, but I think the level 7 archer upgrade can't be too far off. Having my TH outside has, so far, got me two -1 cup TH snipes, which is awesome.
To be honest, I am in no great hurry to farm level 13 archer towers, and lava hounds are also not a priority (I'm doing them on my TH9, for now, to get first-hand experience on an account I hardly use). So the only really interesting thing is barbs and archers to level 7, which won't be especially hard to get (in around 4 weeks), as long as I conserve a little elixer.
BTW, the loot straight after the upgrade was awesome - so many bases around 3000 cups, with big collectors and/or storages....
Guys, a question ive wondered....does the game get boring when you have everything maxed?
Depends on what you enjoy and aim for. I've always just enjoyed smashing other people's bases, so maxing defences is just something I did along the way (ok, a little bit of grinding out level 12 cannons and archer towers, but even that was fun as I had some time off work). Once my defences were pretty much maxed, and all my key ground troops maxed, I just took a casual trip up to Champs, which is where I've been for the last few weeks. It's pretty good up there, around 3300-3400, and being in a very active war clan now (about 50% TH10, 50% TH9, all of them good attackers and good farmers), that's a lot of fun too.Quote:

Plus this is very weird: I've been finding the very same bases during my search. How could this be happening? Is there a limited number of bases you can find? Are you able to find only some bases while you're connected to specific server/load-balancer? There must be thousands other bases available, not just 100-200, right?
I remember times when I could have made 1M gold an hour without boosting...
I am DONE! Call me when the loot is fixed, because this is not a game anyone can enjoy...
It's difficult, more difficult it's been...
I'm pretty new TH10 with a lot needed to be upgraded...earlier I was able to atleast find nice elixir to be able to keep lab running - well now also the elixir is gone to the walls.
Perhaps it is time to hide under shield for few days and see when is it getting better.
One great raid and one decent after update...business as usual now is that you spend more than you get. I've tried balloons + minions and BARCH. Farming in crystal I-III
Logging off for few days sounds good to me now but if it is what I'm afraid of - elixir is now gone for TH10's without max everything. I can't manage farming in masters / champion with my TH9 defence and troops :/
My clan-mates said the loot was absolutely horrible yesterday, which is not surprising as everyone is busy farming / spending / trying the new toys, but they said it was getting better today - this is mainly across Crystal and Masters, some high Gold, some Champs.
Personally I tried looking for a balloon raid last night and after about 15 minutes sniped an exposed TH out of frustration, then finally got 180k elixir and gold which is poor, then just let my TH get sniped twice now, and am riding a full days worth of free shield around 3150, at this rate my elixir pumps will get me to 7.5M elixir without much real raiding required (currently have nearly 6M, from minimal raiding).
Once final thought - what's the point in farming hard out, when your upgrades take 14 days each? I'd rather take my time, and spread the load, then farm like crazy for a couple of days, then have to wait for over a week for builders to free up. I also don't expect another update for at least two months, so see little point in getting all my archer towers upgraded before that 2 months is up - so roughly speaking, 1 tower per week feels about right, which should be quite trivial to achieve (I farmed my level 12 towers at twice that rate, with fairly casual farming).
There's no more elixir for th10. Impossibile to collect for me and all my friends. I'm thinking to stop waiting a new update.
Not going with hounds yet. Just started my Pekka 5 upgrade, and now im trying to farm again in gold 1. Super broke in elix. Haha!

My resources are no where near the required levels to upgrade anything else. Its a shame that after every update the desire to play is hampered by the desire to not waste time (and gold!) pressing next...but it is what it is, I dont think SC have ever mentioned they'd look into it, never mind actually try to fix it (releasing some more abandonds for a period after an update, lower search cost for a week or so, alter bonus for a short time, etc...). Something should trigger an alarm bell when your most active players are prepared to just not log on rather than play...Its like owning a restaurant and doing a refurb every couple of months but opening up while the place still smalls of paint and has dust all over the place - I might be really hungry and I might love the food, but I am not going in until it is sorted. Should the restaurant let the paint smell go naturally or should the get some industrial fans in and open the windows to speed the process up...maybe offer a free dessert with your meal!! lol
Anyways, max, I think that if maintenance happens during a boost, you should get that boost paused at a minimum. Some may boost before work or school and i guess maintenance being extended for them does not actually help, but I think it is unfair that nothing is done to compensate for the inconvenience of spending gems but not getting the benefit!
