Basically my TH8 is maxed, except my DE troops. If its necessary I'll try to farm it but, can i just go to th9.
I maxed most of my normal troops in TH8, But, most of the 'magic' happens in TH9. With better troops and jump spells and proper defenses, farming is much easier especially for DE. Just put 2 jump spells from the wall to the DE storage, the loot is as good as yours. Normal troops are even easier to upgrade. Its all back to back upgrades.
Only major problem is all upgrades takes a lifetime to complete lol. So you might even have more resources than you needed thats attracting a lot of raiders.
But take note, this only happens in TH9.....when you go TH10 and only starting to upgrade your troops...its too late. Do everything in TH9.
Just do it, you wont regret it. Lv6 troops and an extra spell will make life an awful lot easier to get the black stuff.
As a rule, upgrade the troops you will be using the most. If you often use Giants, barbs and archers, upgrade those first. No point upgrading a troop that you will never use now.
In later stages of TH9, you will be using more exotic troops like Pekka, Golem, witch, valks etc. In the end, all troops you will upgrade. Its a matter of what to upgrade first. Resources is easy to get.
I maxed all my troops at th8 and I think it's really worth cauz at th9 you'll get so many other upgrades, like arch queen, Witch and so on.

In TH9, don't know how or why, it's easier. Also with another 1x DE drill, I've up both to level 5 and 6 respectively, and the juices are flowing.
Today 16-Sep, marks exactly 2 months 1 day (15 July) that I reach TH9.
Also, I don't use DE troop, as I'm saving every drop of DE for heroes upgrade. So, below is the priority for me on DE usage:
- Queen L10
- King L10
- Lab - finally will start Golem L2 in coming days.
So, my opinion, just click the upgrade TH button.

Two advices on the side:
Hit TH 9 with full storages!! You can get AQ immedeately and a head start with gold and elix upgrades!
At the start of TH9 you'll want nothing but elix! So don't get distracted by L6 giants or loons, do barch first, it'll help you so much more getting elix,if your army cost is low!!

U can do it now or play the catch up game and have nubby de troops as a th9 with lv 1 hogs golo etc ,i see many play the catch up game then say oh sorry i only got lv 2 mins and stuff like that,ask ya self do u really wanna be that nooby?theres your answer
I don't think its that serous lol... I don't use DE troops and if i don't go to th9 that's 5 builders stationary. Also when i try to farm DE as a town hall 8 I fail. TH8 sucks in crystal so as hard as i farm, i get hit harder. I think going th9 will make it way easier to farm DE. I just wanted second opinions.Quote:

Why do people come on these forums to ask permission to do stuff? You have played long enough to make the decision on your own. The only recommendation I ever make to anyone is to max your farming troops before upgrading. Outside of that you dont need anything except time at the next level. It does get more difficult however isnt that part of the fun. I have way more fun playing as a TH10 than I ever did as a TH7. I enjoyed the game more at every TH level than I did the previous.
No you do not. Try to get hogs and minions to lvl 3 or 4 if you are close to it, but if you go to Th9 you won't
notice any disadvantages. It will actually be easier to raid DE but DE research might be put on the backburner as
you get the lvl 6 troops and AQ taking up lab and DE.
I only leveled up minions to level 3. You should just go up TH9. Waking up to 3200 DE from drills is legit.
