spell shield tower?

Hi guys first post :PP
I've been looking around in the forums and I have seen many players crying about how easy it is to lightning resource storages and other important buildings. How about introducing a 'spell shield' tower? This tower has only one purpose: to negate a percentage of the effect of spells around it's operating radius, and needs to be destroyed for spells to have their maximum effect. It could be unlocked at th6/7, and cost about 100k gold to build. It's stats could be:
- level 1- 50% of spells negated
- level 2- 60%
- level 3- 70%
- level 4- 80%
- and lastly, a level 5 spell shield will negate 90% of the spells cast in its radius.

Any ideas on how to make this better would be appreciated :D:D

That is very nice idea, but we could fix it in a way that it's like a hidden tesla, if you cast a spell it jumps out and chucks it away, out of it's radius, or makes the spell weaker....

Good idea but this would make spells less valuable.

...it defeats the purpose of spells. 100k is nothing. The whole spell idea would kind of be destroyed with this. Nice idea, but too radical.

hmmm :/ maybe the range could be smaller, like the range of a wizard tower, so it could only protect the most valuable buildings.

Yeah, it could be like some sort of huge palm which stretches out it's leaves to protect it's surrounding buildings, and it pops out like a tesla!

This idea is already stickier so it has been suggested before. It is better known as a lightning rod.
