Why is discussion about the time bug being deleted?

It's a known fact that while doing actions and such, causes the time bug to appear, reportedly delaying things (upgrades, etc.) up to half a day or more.

Also known that SC will NOT fix this.

Now, nothing about it, even searched the forums, nothing.

Is this because SC makes extra money off of people who don't want to wait the extra time and just gem it?

Seems like this anyway, sweep this under the carpet so SC reaps the rewards.

I'd bet anything that this thread gets deleted as well.

What do u hope to accomplish by talking about it. Everyone knows about it and SC won't fix it so.....

The reason all the time bug threads are being deleted is that there is already one thread dedicated to that, we don't need 100 threads about the same topic, not to mention that SC replied that there are no future plans to fix the bug due to the fact that they would have to rewrite the code from scratch.

Seems to me they would have been better off writing the code correctly in the first place. Makes you wonder if they missed anything else.

If it was something that lost supercell money, they would have rewritten the code.. Whatever that even means, but since this time bug only helps them, why should they even bother...

Just like all the time software from Microsoft or Apple or Google or any other large company is bug free upon initial release?

I would certainly not expect it to be bug free upon initial release however, the game has been out now for what, two years? The difference here is, those companies attempt to fix bugs when they are found.

And some of those bugs could not be fixed without a complete rewrite. Supercell has to prioritize it's resources, they have decided that it is a better use of their resources to bring new content to the game instead of fixing a bug that does not directly affect game play. I agree with their decision.

When you have half a day or more of build time added to one of your upgrades, I urge you to revisit your statement here and determine if you still think it is true.

I am already there.

The time bug is actually Supercell giving the builders a break from building occasionally so that they don't violate labor laws.

They are closing the threads, because they dont want to further disseminate the knowledge of this financially successful but morally bankrupt company's corrupt and fraudulent money making scheme.

If you read thoroughly all of the pages in the original thread, you can see several of the posts have been deleted by the mods, and multitudes of vocal proponents of this issue have been banned from the forums.

It is quite comparable to north korean censorship, where unfavorable information are censored and people being never heard from again (executed or sent to concentration camps).


Especially since this 'bug' is intentionally made ever since the days of SC's first product (hayday) to help them rake in few extra dimes.
-Otherwise why does it only affect timers beneficial to SC?
-Why does it appear in all of SC's products?
-Why do they flatly refuse to fix this while making bogus excuse on programming language?
-Why are there reports that the time increment added by the bug has been steadily increasing? Is SC intentionally increasing the increments, to see how far they can go and how much they can get away with?

Seriously. You lose 5-10 seconds each time you load your village. If you load your village 60 times a day you lose 10 minutes max.

Now if the biggest problem in your life is that you need to wait a little longer in a video game for your upgrade to finish then you can count yourself fortunate.

Exactly what they want you to think.

That 10 minute per day becomes more than 1 hour per week, times five workers. That loss screws up your building schedule amd you are forced to have idle builders overnight or spend several hundred gems every month to keep consistent schedule

Supercell probably made millions of USD in additional fraudulent profit just from this bug alone. Money that is unjustly stolen from millions of unknowing users. This is in no way a minor issue, and supercell saw the numbers and decided not to fix this issue even after being uncovered. Thank god for supercell this intentional bug is hardly noticeable and this game is microtransaction based. Any other game company that is found to run million dollar scams would probably be in class action lawsuit cases

It's not a bug. It's intentional. Else they could have used a different code for hay day

Hey! Thanks to your thread, I now know of this "bug" after more than a year of unawareness :mad:
I can't believe I played for so long without knowing about it, so you posting this was really helpful for me -and I bet others too- to understand Supercell and Clash of Clans a little better ;)

Disgusting capitalism at its finest. Didn't know about this bug until today and noticing similar things with my buildings. Supercell should be ashamed, I shall spread the word.
