Censor the word "JOIN" from global! (No, REALLY!)

I don't mind the occasional (ok, frequent) advertisement in global, but the majority of us want to join up with people who we enjoy talking with.

Folks who just type "join please" over and over equate to SPAM. Even 20 folks who type it once junks up the potentially fun Global Chat.

don't censor join, just ban people who say the same thing over and over again. like maybe a warning for 2nd time then 24hr ban for 3rd time?

It isn't that ONE person is saying JOIN JOIN JOIN JOIN JOIN... it is that 20 folks are all saying JOIN once... it junks up an otherwise interesting chat feature.

Scroll down your current global and see how many times you see the word... I rarely go in there anymore... If I wanna see that many commercials, I would watch network TV ;-)

Hmm, there are a few flaws with censors in general:

1. They often censor words that don't need to be censored (eg if "abcd" is censored, but I type "ab cd", that will still be blocked.)
2. They can easily be bypassed by using characters (eg join = j01n)

But some people like to recruit on global, and their right to do so shouldn't be hindered.

99% of people on global are hoping to get a Ringer into their clan. I am asking that they do it with entertaining conversation, or by advertising the strengths of their clan.
Besides, you know you want to see "Anyone wanna **** my clan?" and "**** us, please!" pop up on your global for a quick chuckle :-)

Global? Lol, full bunch of kids.

better shutdown global or make new chat for recruiting section or unless global still the same.
