Its nothing personal they have, just business.
What you consider "huge loot" isn't really as dramatic as you may think. When I am down in silver leagues 75 to 80 percent of the villages I am shown when searching show about 30k to 50k available loot (which isn't that enticing to me and usually results in a quick skip before even looking at the village). If I look, I can see most of these villages have more than half or even completely full storage (which is probably somewhere around 500k to 1mil). Although your full storage may seem like a huge amount of loot and losing 50k to 100k is a nightmare, the loot penalty for those players with higher TH is significant. Some people may just be bored or really just need that little bit and you were the unlucky village they stopped at. I promise I felt the same way when I was down around TH 4 and 5. Just know that if you hold full or close to full storage, you're only that much more enticing to someone with a huge army that can easily wreck you. I've since changed my opinion in that if I have a lot of loot available and some TH10 kid comes along with enough army to take it, then I guess he deserves it. When my storage is relatively low (under 1mil of each) I notice my defenses are all around 30 to 50 percent destruction when people actually bring their entire army (and aren't just TH sniping obviously) because they seem to be more on my level or lower due to the loot penalty being lower so the attack is more enticing. However, when I am storing close to cap up in the 3 to 4 mil range, I get attacked by 20+ L6 giants and a barrage of other L6 troops, complete with L5+ king and queen, pretty regularly and usually take more like 55 to 70 percent damage and lose all or most of my available. The only reason I get torn up by these bigger armies is because I am storing a ton of loot so even with the loot penalty, it is still a good raid. It is for this reason that I think the loot penalty system is doing its job.
For me it is a problem, i need a 1.5M and i've been around it for 2 weeks, cos when i get close to it, i loose 250k that means start to colect again and by the time i get close again, same thing happen.
Maybe its just me but i feel that boring.
It is just the game, sometimes I have been hit for 300k of each and 1k of DE. It's a pain if you are saving but it is the point of the game. I do try and make sure I only save 1 out of the 3 so that the village doesn't look too desirable to other clashers
Farmers don't drop trophies to attack weak people. Farmers downgrade to gather easy loot. I don't understand why you are ok with my TH7 raiding the collectors of your TH8 that you are to lazy to empty for 250,000/250,000 but you get offended when my TH9 attacks using the exact same troops on your full collectors and only get 150,000/150,000 because of the loot penalty.
I'll say it again. Farmers don't drop to attack weak players. They drop to attack lazy players. The same players that I push up to as TH5 and TH6 for easy loot. Is my TH5/6/7 picking on that poor weak TH8? No, neither is my TH9/10. They are farming the lazy. Any TH9 that is using the troops needed to steamroll your TH8 for 200,000/200,000 is only doing it because A) they have no idea how to play and are wasting more resources than they are gaining B) trying to trophy climb which will take them out of your range anyway. Either way you can consider it a net win for you.
