Clan Blacklist

I've seen a lot of threads relating to the mass kicking or clan hopper and some about providing a blacklist of players that cannot rejoin

So I set my mind to resolving and providing a sample solution (bored on a Friday afternoon at work)

Basically upon a member trying to join a clan the player is cross referenced against the blacklist .. If the players identifier exists on the clans black list he simply cannot apply to join...

elders would have the ability to add to blacklist only leader would be permitted to remove.. Anyway what do you guys think?

I love this idea especially when you want somebody not in the clan. This should be a feature to leaders only

Although it's been asked for many times, adding a mock-up graphic is always a nice touch.

If they do implement it, it would have to be based off of an actual screen in the game where that user is shown (like your example of recruiting) or from clan chat, or global chat. One thing it really can't do is say enter "twister" in a free text field - twister is not a unique name, in essence you would ban a few hundred players. Entering "Matt" would ban a few thousand, etc. Associated with each player in the database is a unique player ID (Can't be seen in-game) but, it would require that specific bit of data to be effective, hence you will need to click the actual person somehow to start this action.

No guarantees, but it's on the list for devs to consider.

i love this idea. i like to leave my clan on "anyone can join", but we've had annoying players come just to annoy and curse at the clan. those members are kicked and then i have to set my clan to "invite only". good idea bill.

Thanks... I spent ages trying to find the right font used in game but could not:(.... I don't have the issue but I am still continually seeing the "This player kicked all our players" and although it would not prevent that issue i think it would add some security that the same person could not do it again...

i think doing it from global would not be a great idea... I think it would create an unmanageable list

It would also help if u could view how many times a player has been blacklisted. Then he wouldnt get accepted into clans- its an incentive not to kick clans.

I love this idea of a blacklist in the game. right now our clan has a number of people keeping unsynced copies of ban lists everywhere on notes, spreadsheets, etc... banning someone from a clan is a very abusable thing, so I think it's a power that should be limited to clan leaders. The way I'd like to see this done is in the menu that pops up when a leader taps the menu icon on a player's name in the clan's roster. The same place a leader would go to promote/demote an elder, etc. The menu item would be "Ban" alongside the other buttons like "Kick Out", "Promote to Elder" etc.

This way the leader would only be able to use it on an existing member of the clan that they don't want to see anymore.

Whatever the implementation, some kind of blacklist needs to be in the game.
