The troops iq can only be equivalent and not exceed the people that developed it.

thats in all of galadon's videos. His clan is called lost pheonix so that isnt a solid reason in my eyes

Well spoken. Out of curiosity, why would the new update make Req&Runs Obsolete?

He is the leader of Lost Phoenix.......It always has a phoenix symbol *facepalm.

So I though to myself... The update brought alot of things but didn't adress any balancing issues. And now that th10 ♥♥♥♥s will be gaining an exstra troop level for tier one troops (barbs and archers lvl7) the issue stil remains: th9 and below do not have any means of attacking th10s with infernos successfully. So my prediction is that the following sneak peaks will be ballanced based.

I think that the new dark barrack troop will be something with some sort of tankyness or strength against infernos. Or a support unit that will be intricate to high level raiding (like the healer, but beter- since its a high tierunit.)

What do you guys think?

new troops = new baracks level

new troop levels = lab upgrades

Supercell really need to up their game. Although far superior to the vast majority of IOS games out there I feel they are falling behind the times. Adding new levels to defences and troops is fine but the game desperately needs new features or modes.

There was a time when clash was my number one game and I had no issues spending thousands of dollars on it but lately I find I hardly log in let alone raid. There are just better games out there that were once so far behind clash but have evolved adding new modes and features while clash with the exception of clan wars has remained stagnant.

Don’t get me wrong clash is still a good game and supercell mostly do a good job but it is no longer the “best” game it once was and it feels they are now coasting on past success while others are evolving and adding more to their games.

As an example without hopefully breaking any forum rules there are two games left on my phone clash and lets say game x which is a similar style to clash

In clash there is
Raiding
Clan wars (max 2 raids per 2 days)
Goblin mission (once only)
Full out raid has a down time of 3:45 hours between raids

In game X there is (these aren’t explained too well since I am trying not to break any forum rules)
Raiding
Customisable heroes
Guild boss battles (once per day)
NPC mission (infinitely repeatable)
Arena
Defences where you put your base on defence against waves of troops with the hope of fending them off
Defences where you put your base on defence against a wave of heroes with the hope of fending them off
Raids where you as many bases as possible with set heroes and no troops or spells
A full out raid where everything dies has a downtime of twenty mins (anything that doesn’t die can be used again instantly)

Coming in next update

Guild battles
Co-op dungeons
Co-op bosses (not 100% on this one yet)

With new game modes each update.

TLDR: Clash has so much potential but needs new game modes farming gets stale very fast and then what? Cup push where you are forced to stay online for unhealthily amounts of time or ♥♥♥♥ just to progress

Basically exactly. Quit shoveling layers on heaps over the broken AI. Spend some time and get the AI fixed before you go changing things

Somebody better call the Waaambulance, haven't seen this much crying since I dropped my daughter off at nursery school.

To all those babies that say they're going to quit because of an update that hasn't even happened yet, please, please, throw your storages and collectors outside and out of range of the defense.

You don't even know how this will affect the game yet.

There already is a storage cap on raids, and once you get to the higher level walls, people will still have 3+ million in storages that they can't spend yet because of the high cost of those walls, so there will still be plenty of loot available. Also, I have no problems getting gold, and you can use that on walls as well, so what's the freaking difference?

Stop crying about a game that you have the option of playing for free.

Also, maybe there will be more gemmed collectors as well...so that's a little extra in them to raid.

Valks reduced time is awesome, New level 6 dark troop available at Town Hall 9 is also awesome, and lvl 7 Barch is cool as well, bc now you can actually try to Barch a town hall 10s.

You forgot the part where you spend a ton of money on a "lottery" in hopes of getting a certain hero only to get shafted while others get "lucky" and get heroes right away. And the graphics suck. And the ai is buggy. CoC is still better, but I agree some of the other ideas and modes would be nice.

The wait for a new troop was very long.....so, im glad to see it...Also, really like the additions of seeing troops brought into battle and what was used ...also regen times reduced is awesome

But, other than the new troop everything is little tweaks to things we already have. Could there be something else coming?

Don't get me wrong clash is a very stable and solid game and I love the fact that spending money is truely optional. The point is it is getting very stale and despirately needs some new modes.

In game X in know fully about getting sharfted I have spent $500 and walked away with absolutely nothing and other times spent $100 and got decent stuff. That part of the game certainly isn't better but the various things to do are

A minion is a loyal servant of another, usually more powerful, being. Maybe the new dark troop is the more powerful being. Maybe the minion king or minion lord. It fly's and shoot fireballs. :)

I'm just gonna take a guess and say that the new troop is some sort of chimera.

I really hope lvl 4 P.E.K.K.A. is added to TH9 since there is currently no P.E.K.K.A. upgrade. I am surprised that dark barracks will be available to TH9 because TH9 doesn't match the magma theme. Looking forward to the update! :)

can't agree with this idea more, many interesting game modes are necessary to be implemented to increase the playability and variaty, and make the fun last longer. I'm about to be a TH9, and already feel a little bored to the loot/develop routine. As the upgrading time is too long, and the clan wars only open once a week, there are a lot of time I enter the game but don't know what I should do.

Hey guys well from what I can see the picture of the new barrack looks kinda similar the more you look at it to like a feline creature so possibly a molten cat or molten wolf or something i don't know to me it looks like a cat what do you think?

Sonthe magma means nothing? It's most likely a hellhound or phoenix, probably a phoenix. Gallydon's video, and another video (maybe Daddy's) together include a lot of fire puns, and a phoenix/bird outline.

The Phoenix is Galadons logo I believe. I think its on all his videos. The fire breathing references, I not sure either way.

Maybe when they die they burst into flames, and act like a bomb, as shown in the promo video?

I don't know to me it looks like some sort of 4 legged creature like a cat or wolf or maybe a gargoyle just basing from the head on top of the barrack and also it's making me think that it probably has some special ability with inferno towers something like double damage to inferno towers or takes half damage from inferno towers so maybe a gargoyle air tank or some feline creature idk

Does anyone know the date of the next update or atleast able to speculate given previous sneak peek to realise timeframe?

Maybe the lava is just to match the town hall and other red or fire looking buildings. I still think that big ballon thing will be it. It would only make sense to have a troop that is like the golum but flys

I find it easy to attack Th10's with GOWIPE at TH9... and my golems are only lvl 1. Lvl 4 is a lot better.

I do agree that minion and gargoyle are very alike. However, perhaps this could be a chance for a new flying troops, which takes up more space than a minion and is stronger? It would be more like a dragon than a minion?

I think the new DE troop is a fireball rabbit that can blow up a building -- the twist is that you can manually click on the building to target (look at SC's promo video for the recent wizard update).

The Phoenix or aka dark barrack dragon is most likely the new troop because supercell i believe has it in the possible thread so im pretty pretty sure it is the phonex and also chief pat said it was gonna be a game changer and this one youtuber galdon or what ever he is called said something about massive heat is coming or something. so the Phoenix will probally be immune to inferno towers as well! And am i the only th9 planning to gem to get the new troop? ( chief pat said it was for th9 to)

Noticed what looks like bat wings under the skull. Also the skull itself looks like a gargoyle head. Not sure why people are saying hellhound, hellcat, or phoenix? It doesn't look anything like any of those. It also has a stone color to it which looks a lot different than the witch skulls on dark barracks Lvl 5. This skull definitely looks like its made of stone. Maybe it has a lava attack similar to the inferno tower that does splash damage as its special ability? Really exciting if it is a gargoyle! A flying troop with lots of hit points similar to a golems would add all sorts of new inventive attack strategies!

Exactly. Chief Pat is a complete nub, the only reason why people like him is because he appeals to the majority of clashers. However the problem is that the majority is very stupid. At least they give us our daily bread.

Maybe a ground based Phoenix, that looks like a chimera. Since the Phoenix is known for rising from the ashes... Maybe it has one task till it dies, then it rises again to play a diff role. Such as shielding type unit or heal (although i doubt we will see another healing troop) it dies comes back as an attacker

Based off the fire design I think it's gonna be kind of like a blaze from minecraft and it will catch buildings on fire which will do initial damage plus some damage from the fire it starts

Variety of gameplay would be really cool, I just hope it never gets to a point where $100 seems like you got out of it cheap to play, I really like the freemium model CoC has going, but as you've already mentioned there really isn't much pressure to buy gems with CoC, which is great. As well as listening to your concerns and ideas, I hope that they develop enough new troops, Heros, buildings etc, that the gameplay can become diversified enough that there are lots and lots of attack strategies, and gameplay options. Enough that this game could replicate maybe even overtake another game which I won't name and which I don't like, but which is wildly popular. It is played by the top players in indoor arenas with thousands of spectators watching the gameplay on big screens as it happens, like a sports event, and cheering them on to win million dollar prize money. Similarly with the other game, CoC at the top level could be played with teams of 5 each with 40 or 50 troop capacity to deploy, and defensive maps could be drawn randomly from either SC designed bases, or from pre designed bases from the other team. I guess the options for SC are limitless, but this is something I would love. I actually would probably strive to be the best in the world if this was the case. :cool:

You're right, you can't just assume that it will be a phoenix because it's in his videos. It's like saying that Apple is going to start selling apples. A logo is a logo and represents that of the company / clan in this case and their values, not what may be an easter egg or hint.

What time are sneak peeks released (any usa time zone)? Because I want to stay up till the next one comes out :) It's 11:13P here. CDT.

L2 archer unlocked, target and arrows added.
L3 goblin unlocked, no reference.
L4 giant unlocked, no reference.
L5 WallBreaker unlocked, bombs and bones added.
L6 balloon unlocked, balloon launch and rope tethers added.
L7 wizard unlocked, spell cauldron added.
L8 healer unlocked, golden platform added.
L9 dragon unlocked, scorched air louvre with fire below added.
L10 pekka unlocked, grey metal added and pekka head on roof.


as you can see there are only 2 normal barrack upgrades that don't have a reference to the troop they unlock. Now let's look at the dark barracks.


L1 minion unlocked, cauldron of purple substance( minion vomit?) added.
L2 hog rider unlocked, hammer of hog rider added.
L3 Valkyrie unlocked, axe of Valkyrie added.
L4 golem unlocked, arm and hand of golem added.
L5 witch unlocked, skulls from witches staff added, blue fabric(resembling witch cloak) added.


as you can see all 5 dark barracks appear to have a reference to the troop unlocked at each level. Remember that, we'll come back to the graphics....




Further digging brings us to Galadons sneak peak video. SC said a hint to the troop is in his sneak peak video. Lots of people are saying look at the Phoenix. However the Phoenix on the shield has ALWAYS been apart of Galadons video intros so i don't think it has anything to do with the troop. His choice of wording in 3 sentences is what piqued my interest.


'what could be hidden in the fiery looking dark barracks?'
'our burning anticipation.'
'what could top the golem?'

the first 2 quotes he sounds out of character, and both times references fire. This could mean the graphics from the level 6 dark barracks coupled with Galadons wording do in fact men the new troop will have some sort of fire aspect. Wether its a troop that breaths fire, or a troop that is set aflame, is unsure. However the references on each level of the barrack/dark barracks have indicated more times than not the ability of troops rather than the look. So my guess is the new DE troop will shoot or spit or breathe fire/lava.


Galadons final quote is what really made me think. He says 'What could too the golem?' Huh? The golem was unlocked with the L4 Dark Barrack. The witch topped the golem. The fact he said golem makes me think the new troop will be a tank.



So there you have it, i dont know what it will be called or look like but my guess is the new DE troop will be a fire breathing/shooting tanking unit. Don't flame me too bad.

Looking at the skull on top of Barracks, with Lava all over and a stone-age structure, it seems the troop is either a Big Cat or a Balarog (as shown in LOTR series). Can't wait.
