I agree with this. It makes since to me to be a flying tank of some kind. I know this has already been said but im going with a fly equivalent of the golems.

Bottom of face looks different than the skull on top of the new barrack. So I think something is covering half his face maybe wings?

Sure it does! It doesn't matter *as much*, but it definitely still matters. I recently had a remarkably botched raid because a single archer triggered a defensive castle golem. That single troop nullified half my army when a large portion of my minions rushed into danger to engage it.

Since its an animal/creature, smell is a common reference to hunting, they are hunting the fireworks, tracking it

Smell is used for tracking, Sight "seeing" is used for visual comfirmation
