Would be really helpful to get this when I farmed skullies. Gonna finish legos in 45 day thanks to this, unless SC would do something terrible to loot system, apart from giving lvl 7 walls to everyone in the game:D

Isn't that what happened with gold loots anyway? Gold gets dumped into walls most of the time.
anyway, this is just my opinion of the first sneak peek. Now i think i can farm lavas now.

This update is going to be really good I feel it... Maybe the daily quests? Or a war tournament?
If a few people have upgraded walls to high levels like till zaps , lavas etc . it doesn't mean that upgrading walls should not be made easy for the majority of the people who don't have those high level walls yet. Also its only the first sneak peak. Maybe they have some stuff to make the high levs happy in the upcoming sneak peaks?
Wait wait wait hold up. How can you see a abundance in elixer after this? And when you say as well do you mean that gold is abundant also?
It will probably make farming harder.
1) People will have stronger bases (tougher walls)
2) There will be less Gold or Elixir to raid as both will be sunk into walls
I've always farmed Gold in Champions League and there is barely any Elixir on offer there, doubt it would improve high level farming sufficiently.
I'm not fussed about this change. I would like to see new content in the game to get me back full time.
