I'm with you on this one. As a generation passes by the old grandpas would feel grudgingly who are able to afford things that they couldn't when they were young in the game. It's basic human psychology. But supercell needs to do something to give looting a boost as well. As that will be directly affected.

Cheaper jump spells? More troops that can possibly jump walls?
I think this will definitely affect those people who use barbs/giants/goblins as their primary loot attack strategy.
There should be a slight incentive to use more arial troops for loots.
Let's think of a collaborative and progressive approach to the game, than just old and grumpy naysayers.

Interesting. A few minutes after I posted my last response... ArrowClash posted his frustration. He played the game for 2+ years and upgraded his walls as a sense of accomplishment. He worked hard, played hard, and was proud of his base. Then, SC decides to make it easier for everyone else to do it.

Hmmm... isn't this exactly what I just said? You are incorrect. This has a lot to do with me. I am trying to decide on whether I should continue playing this game, if SC is going to screw me over next year. It has nothing to me being sensitive. Like you said, I know why people are upset with people complaining about the update. Doesn't mean I have to agree or understand it. If you're that sensitive, I apologize. Plenty of worse stuff happens in the real world.

clan troops donation depends on your clan, i never have problem asking for ANYTHING from my clan. it's your problem if your clan is being stingy. really.

actually in general i feel the amount of gold and elixir would be more balanced when raiding. when people can utlize elixirs INSTEAD OF gold for walls, there should be more gold loot available.
with a different approach of the gameplay, there will also be a different result.
you can't say that the amount of gold has been always low, now elixirs would also be low since they're all poured onto wall upgrades. think about the gold they have not used for their walls instead.

keep in mind that we all have limited amount of builders, so if other players are upgrading their walls using their elixirs instead, they will pool more gold for the next upgrade, while waiting for a free builder, well that's how we actually find good bases to loot from, isn't it.

so much crying... Time will let these people calm down. If they quit, do us a favor and make sure your pumps and mine are maxed out. Thanks!

No no no... you dont get the point. Everyone will empty out their elix and you have got nothing to loot. Right now at gold 3 im farming more elix than gold. Like 70k gold, 500k elix. Thats is the downside...

To answer his question of why, it's pretty simple. SC obviously felt that loot is in a worse place now than it has been in the previous 2 years so they're doing something about it. In a year or 2 I am certain many new changes will be implemented so if change is something you're afraid of I suggest you go ahead and quit now.

There will still be players saving up their elixir to upgrade their troops, army camps, etc. There will still be players with maxed storages because they've farmed a lot and their builders are tied up. And there will still be inactive players with loads of loot in their collectors.

In the real world, some government would forcibly take your hard earned walls and defenses and hand them out in a 'free' stuff for votes scam while telling you it was all about 'fair share' or some other similar gutrot vapid rubbish.
