At TH 7 as a farmer I upgraded my core first to better protect my resources. It's really easy for wall breakers to break your perimeter walls. It's more challenging for them to get to the core.
It's only in the early TH levels (where wall breakers are less often used) where you should upgrade your perimeter first due to the limited layers you're able to create between your perimeter and core.
That doesn't make sense. If attackers get inside your core, then they should be bombarded by more defenses, unless they attack from all sides and distract all the outer defenses (which is less likely). You use most of your walls for your perimeter and it only usually takes two or three wall breakers to break in, degrading any protection those higher level perimeter walls would provide.
My base has 3 layers of walls. I always upgrade the middle layer first, followed by the core layer, then lastly, the outside layer.
Yea, that's usually best for TH 8's and above. Don't think you can have 3 good layers in a TH 7 farmer base.
Usually someone that utilizes wall breakers carries at least 6 of them. Any decent player knows how to distract defenses and break the exterior walls (regardless of the level) of a base with just a handful of wall breakers.
Anyways, to the OP, just listen to what majority of the people that voted on the thread think.
every decent player will 3 star a TH7, maxed or not. From my statistics most of the players here are not that good.
For the 7 doesn't really matter all that much but I'd say core then connecting junctions.
Currently farming skulls and I've gotten most of the core maxed. This has saved me so many times because the giants get held up trying to break the core walls once they've penetrated the perimeter. The attacker usually ends up wasting 4 WBS on the perimeter and because the WB AI is so messed up, they never get around to destroying the core walls & allows me to win a few defenses here or there.
Thanks for all your opinions. I guess it'll be core first.
