Question to Gowiwi and Gowipe users

How do you deal with giant bombs?
In our last clan war, we faced a clan who are mostly gowiwi, gowipe, and gowiwipe users. Some of them failed because their wizards stepped on my clanmates' giant bombs.
I am curious because I am interested to try gowipe on the next war.

I am a TH 8 who uses GoWiPe. Your golems and pekkas are supposed to go in the center and if the center has giant bombs, your pekkas and golems with take the damage (it barely does a dent to them)

I see. Because what happened was the golems and the wizards entered the compartment together, which has giant bombs, after the wall breakers opened the said compartment.
Does this really happen sometimes or the enemy clan just did something wrong? How do we avoid that from happening?

Here's what I do:
Drop a few wizzies which will die after clearing buildings
Make sure golems go in the center
After the golems are close to the core I drop the wizzies
Drop a rage and get the TH!
If the golems are close to the center they will trigger giant bombs if there are any.

Thanks for answering my questions and for the tips! I am a TH8 too anyways and I will try gowiwi first because my clanmates could give me 2x lvl2 witches for my clan castle.

I've tried GoWiWi that way. I really don't understand GoWiWi.. With GoWiPe, I know I'm supposed to drop a rage so that the pekkas can deal more damage faster. But witches.. They don't deal a lot of damage.. Am I supposed to drop a rage on the witch or..?

Haha I do not know too. they dropped it when the wiz and heroes are clumped together.

I drop rage and heal when my troops clash with cc which is usually near core. Then I drop more rages as needed usually to break out of core. The rage goes on wizards and skeletons.

I usually place the golems out
Then place wallbreakers (mostly with a rage so they can get to the core)
I then place wizards to clear outside buildings.
Once those are out I send my pekkas and king out.

Guaranteed to at least 2 star if done right.
