Opt-out for Clan wars option/button

Once I supported for this idea but a person from Supercell replied on a similar thread that clan has to be a clan, in good and in bad. Opt out option is not helping in team spirit, weak players should work hard and improve and top players should back up the weaker ones..

Something like that in those lines and it made perfect sense to me. Be a team. Don't kick off they don't do well, support your team members.

I'm also pretty sure that I saw this idea had been ruled out long time ago.

Opt-out/Opt-in is officially under consideration. It was ruled out for "the next update" but that was several updates ago. I too would still rather see an encouragement to participate than facilitating exemption. I will adapt and overcome either way.

GUYS SORRY TO SAY THAT IN THE INTEREST OF SIMPLICITY THIS FEATURE ALREADY EXISTS, ITS CALLED KICK�� the leader is reasonsible for making the rules if u war the same time on regular intervals then the players should leave on their own and rejoin later, otherwise kick the guys who aren't good enough, that's war sorry folks

Something needs to be done. Maybe the simplest and a way that avoids abuse is to be able to set the number of members that will go to war. So, for example, you have a 50 member clan, you could set the war clan number to 25 and only your top 25 members would go to war. This would allow more members to drop cups and not go to war.

Either that, or something that encourages members to use their attacks. That's the biggest issue in the clan I'm in. Our average is only around 67% attacks used. We hardly ever win wars due to that stat alone. It's not fun at all. I war only just to bump my own personal war stats these days.

The problem is that the current system of war doesn't help clans stay together as a team. It causes less active/bad attackers to be kicked out and left in the cold. Opt out hurts team spirit a bit (depending on how you define team spirit), but the current design of war killed a lot of teams when clan wars were first introduced. Lots of clans lost a lot of their original members who couldn't keep with wars, including mine.

Also when people make a farming clan for people who don't war, that's evidence that clan wars split clans up, literally

I think that a less abusable method would be to allow only the number of people who'd get left out of war anyways to opt out. Ex: 39 = 4 ppl to opt out. It's not entirely what people want but I don't see how selecting, rather than semi-arbitrary system of lowest trophies, would be abusable

The 'a clan is a clan' statement can be taken to mean that the speaker felt that everyone in the clan should do war or people that don't should leave it OR he meant that it was a problem the way war was forcing some clans to split apart. There has been a lot of debate which way that statement was supposed to go. You can read all that debate and the reasons each side had for feeling as they did on this and many other threads.

Can you elaborate on what abuse you think could come from this feature? I ask because I don't think there is anything that would happen that does not happen today. And also I question whether any of that stuff is really 'abuse'.

That i can understand.. the same thing happened in my clan.. few th 10 guys were kicked out because they had rushed.. they were actually good people, helpful and active but since they couldnt cope up in wars, other members started bullying them and finally the leader had no option but to kick them out..sad sometimes.
