I stopped zapping at early th7

I never zapped...
Then again, I rushed from TH7 to TH8 because I thought the DE drill would be the best way to get DE.

I do have 3 lightning spells with my BArch army, but all I use those for is an extra few percent if I need it at the end.

I carry 3 lightnings while barching in case of emergency or a juicy DE storage at the end of a raid.

I stopped early th8, learned how to de farm, got the king max in no time. Much more efficient then zapping

You're missing the 'never' or 'haven't stopped yet' options

I still zap. I'm th lvl 7.
