Strategy for pushing. ??

I'm a defense maxed out th8 (level 90) ,I wanna get to master league for the gems n my 5th builder,but I'm stuck at crystal 1 since two weeks,I need a strategy to 2 star most th9s and three star th8s ,a strategy which doesn't use up too much of my elixir or my dark elixir...Ballominions is good but useless for th8 as level 5 balloons pop like flies here,I have level 4 hogs n minions Btw,also ballominions work for weak th8 only..So pls suggest a good strategy to me for pushing,also while u are at it,u could tell me what is ghosting ??have heard a lot but don't know it in detail..cheers (shaan-coleader of top players(20k clan) a level 89 and a friend if u wanna be ??-_-
