I took off for the weekend expecting to come home, log in, and see totally wasted storages.

Came home, logged on....three attacks plus 10 trophies! I'm TH8. Three 9s took shots. 42%.48%, 56%. Overall, the three took about 250,000 each of gold and elixir, and only 750 DE . That's with each having 250,000 to raid and over 1000 DE available per raid.

THESE WERE TH9s attacking an almost completed TH8!

I emptied my collectors and mines having more in storage than when I left 2 days ago!

Now....I'm not complaining mind you. I loved ending the off weekend with more gold and elixir than I began with...I'm just saying how poor the quality of TH9 players has become.

Pathetic.... Few other words would suffice. Pathetic.

He meant combine, the 3 attackers only took 250k/250k. They sucked. He got lucky he rolled 3 Th9's that sucked at raiding, and is bragging about it.

I'm not bragging. I'm hoping those rushing to a preemie 9 get the hint....they're not "cool", they're viewed as something lesser.

I'm not saying I wouldn't go after a 7, and I make no statement other than the quality of TH9 players these days.

I totally know the developed player would....and should.... Cream me. I expect to be wasted by a Th9. But I'm not expecting three 9s to attack, the latter two having no traps or bombs to deal with...and do so pathetically.

If two can't even one star an 8 with only half skull walls, and a third barely two stars ... What's that telling you? That Im a genius and have a super secret new design for a TH8 base? HA!

It's telling me these players are either receiving bad advice or simply gemming and hitting levels wayyyy over their heads ( likely burning out soon)

What really surprises me are the comments so far. I had thought I wasn't minority thinking... Looks like I may be in error. Maybe I should say instead " way to go you three...an 8 base just kicked your a##! That's showin ' em! I'm proud of ya!"

No, what you say is fair too. I have seen many preme Th9 that gemmed their way there, and they are really very nooby. Every day I turn down premeeie Th9's from joining my clan.

Either way this things do happen. It entirely depends on what troops the attacker has and his/her assessment if she can take on a certain base. :D

When you get wrecked by other TH9s and TH10s will you post the results? I'm a TH9 that has all maxed buildings, but i have 30 skulls to finish before starting legos, one bomb, air bomb, and air mine upgrade left. On the research front, I need to upgrade my Valkyries and Golems.

I have only lost a defense once with my TH inside on a first attack. But, Ive been wrecked for big loot by a second attack once my traps have been sprung. We can all be wrecked from time to time. I've recently seen a level 40 archer queen for the first time. They cut off the attack after 41% when he could have easily gotten 50% if they left that level 40 queen to wreck. They decided to preserve the AQ.

Yes plenty of premie TH9s out there, also plenty of upgraded ones.

So? Out of how many nexts do you see a good base? Maybe 1 out of 20. It's not surprising there are many preemie th9s. And in one instance you get attacked by 3 th9s that weren't very good and act as if it is something out of the ordinary. Raise your trophies to 2000, leaving your storages full, then let's see how many th9s lose.

How many th9's do you suppose are actively playing? 3 out of whatever that number is can't accurately tell you anything. I will say if you want to see what some decent th9's can manage against your base move on up to crystal 1. I see a th8 with loot up there and you can bet that base is going to need FEMA and the National Guard.

All I can say is the OP got lucky. What league were you in? I wouldn't think you're anywhere above Gold 3. I may be wrong, but you wouldn't get away will filled storages from Gold 1 and up.

It's not that TH9 players are pathetic. You said it yourself, you were dropping a hint to premmie TH9s, so I assumed you were attacked by premmie TH9s.

And well, could you at least post a screenshot of the defence log?

This thread has come to surprise me in the acerbic comments to an observation concerning the overall decline in TH9 skilled players.

I had been somewhat optimistic that comments would follow a general line of agreement and concentrate on the problems ahead for CoC (with the baskets of money they're making, I wonder if they'll sacrifice long term game integrity for short term cash)

FYI...I'm level 77, TH8, 1938 trophies dropping a 100 from Crystal recently to grab elixir. 2.3 mil in gold, 1.8 elixir, 19 k in De ( as of three minutes ago). 50% skull walls and an AT from starting to stash the loot for the Th9.

I've never been in any clan, no welfare subsidies. Never gemmed except to one gem boosts CoC hands out once in awhile. I've earned where I'm at.

Added in to the terrible trio was yet another TH9 attack. 43% damages, 36 K lost elixir, 6 k gold, 168 DE. Of these four, the trophy range was 1922 to 2048.

I stated I overall noticeable decline in TH9 skilled players. There is little reason ( other than luck) a 9 should not waste an 8. At the very least, a one star.

I'm not bothered by a TH9 wasting my base. With the troop advantages etc, a 7 year old beginner using Dad's Th9 could waste your average 8.

One...ok, I got lucky. Two? I had a lucky streak. Four? A statistics geek should chime in to buttress the point. And it's not a recent trend. I've been noticing it for a few months now.

I am just commenting on a trend which any skilled vet with an IQ larger than their belt size already knows. The possible issues of having a passle of unskilled high THs that's coming down the line should be a concern for those who are more than a lackadaisical player.

I think it's a combination of shiny.objects being dangled in front of hypnotic naive easily beguiled, bad advice, and the ease of gemming. That, and it's perceived as "cool" to be over your head in levels yet have that neat X bow.

Ya wanna show you're an idiot and diss me and smack talk for bringing up a subject which will undoubtedly affect future upgrades? Have at it. You think it's good for the CoC game to have a proliferation of Th9 players that don't have their testicles dropping yet? Say so.

There might be many reason for players not to completely destroy his/her target. Perhaps he just want to let you get shield, have a nice gold in his pocket while dropping his own trophies ? Myself, I farm with my th 9 at crystal 2. If I saw th 8 with 1k+ de, I might just give it shield without touching the de. I know how hard it is for your th 8 to farm any decent amount of de.

I don't understand what was your point? Would you be happier if someone used BARCH to wreck all your storage building?

yea if i took 250 of each and 700 de i would call that a success who cares about trophies unless your pushing

also if i have all the loot but dont care about all the trophies i would end battle prematurely. really no point in 3 staring in farming unless your going for trophies

For TH10, farming a TH9 with 250k of each and 700de is such a big win that it is almost worth sharing the video with the clan.

Lol did he really write an essay? 3 preemie th9s out of a million attacked badly and it's an epidemic of bad th9s! There has always been vastly more bad players than skilled, there's no decline in skilled players, the gap was always there. I bet those 3 th9s were much lower in overall base strength vs a max th8. You see maybe 1/50 decent bases when searching, it's no surprise. You get destroyed 3 times in a row by 3 good th9s, is it an epidemic of good players?

You got a shield after every raid despite winning, otherwise you would have lost more.

OP can you link your base or take a ♥♥? I need something to repel th9s who swarm me with level 6 giants :p

Whatever you're building, place it on the usual attack route, spring trap in front. Giants will go for the construction. Then after the construction, it's a predictable path to the walls...a few bombs and another spring trap. By the time they get to the,walls...numbers are down and a good portioned weakened when the mortars, ATs and wiz towers Hammer em.
