The Push to Champion

Becoming a Champion is one of the ultimate goals of this game. 3,200 trophies is extremely hard to get to. The Champion league is made up of mostly Town Hall 10s and a few Town Hall 9s. Town Hall 8s are extremely rare. In general, 3 different strategies are used to reach this milestone.

Mass Drag: This is the most generic strategy. In most cases, if very devoted, a Town Hall 7 could reach Champion using this strategy. Its simple: Train all dragons and 3-5 rage spells depending on your spell factory. Spread your dragons in a U-shape or a line. Then rage spell them. Hopefully this earns a two star. It takes a while to train and is VERY expensive, however it is an almost fool-proof way to reach Champion as long as you are very active.

Ballooion: This strategy is comprised of balloons and minions. In most cases, you need to be Town Hall 9 since that is the TH level when you unlock level 6 balloons which is a must if using this strategy. As well as level 6 balloons, you should probably have level 4+ minions as well. For 200 troop space train 26 balloons and 35 minions. 220 troops space should be 32 balloons and 30 minions. For 240 troop space use 32 balloons and 40 minions. Send in waves of balloons (7-10) to take out defenses while your minions “clean up”. This should make it easy to get a one star.

GoWiWi: GoWiWi is made up of golems, wizards and witches. Obviously, you need to be Town Hall 9 to use this unless you have 2 witches in your clan castle (TH8s with level 4 CC). This strategy can easily get you a 3-star in high master as long as you use it correctly. Place your golems (2-4) then follow those up with wall breakers. Then deploy your wizards (15-30) and your witches (2-4). With good placement from your rage/heal spells (both work well) you should be able to get in the inner layer of walls.

I'm trying to TH snipe my way to champs but its taking too long so i'l try that mass drag start :)

Th sniping will take FOREVER. I strongly recommend mass drag.

If you are TH10 with maxed troops, it's actually not that hard once you learn to win mostly all the time you attack. I used GoWiPe, and made it in a couple of weeks, attacking only 2-3 times most days, starting from around M3. The key was being patient, and winning 20+ cups per attack as often as possible i.e. only attacking when offered 30+ trophies. Attacking only 2-3 times a day, made it affordable i.e. no boosting required, and affordable elixir costs for an expensive army (but only just affordable - unlike masters, champs are mostly poor on elix).

dont forget you need a good active clan to keep you amused waiting for the army to train

The main one you missed out now, usually town hall 9 and 10, Barch. Cheap and effective! Search 'Aclashersstrategics' on youtube, he has good guides on it 😃 luckily i am better at barch than him 😉

Got so excited, I wrote a whole harangue about it here on the forum. :o
Gowiwipe was what I ended up doing. Worked like a charm.

Yea, I dont know about barching. I personally did that to master and I ended up basically TH Sniping since I couldn't 50% anyone with barch.

The ballon mixture is really bad. You need more minons to clean up for the 50%. Most everyone up here a a th9 is bringing 20 loons, 6 in cc, 60 minons. 3 rage minimum. I'm using 4.

All the aspiring champ players you guys can make it I gave up my first attempt so know how tough it can be. Just don't break shield unless you can attack around 4 times before logging off ideally, pick safe bases and almost never lose.

Thanks for the feedback. I used these numbers for balloonion, and found it worked well since I took out more defenses. Its a preference I guess.

I will attempt to try some of these strategies in Master I and II, see if I can make the push to champs thanks :D

I don't want be rude, but you make it seem like TH8 and 9 can get an easy 3-star with GoWiWi till high masters, but that is just bull♥♥♥♥... only a TH10 with max troops can get a 3-star in master 1...
