Clan war on/off Button. (clan wars tearing clans apart)

I. Introduction\Problem:confused::confused:
Well this is a serious matter. I have been in a clan for many months.. then clan wars came we enjoyed it very much.. but when i got busy on my career.. i dont have time to visit my base everyday...
since in clan wars i am automatically joined,
i cant attack and cant help to my clan.. since then our clan had a problem.
They have to kick me everytime they start a war, because they know i cant use my attack. it's a waste.
this situation has been going for few weeks. until i got frustrated and never came back for my old clan. now i dont have any clan. :(:mad: im not inactive i just cant attack in clan war cause of schedule.


II. Idea/Solution
My Suggestion is creating a button. a button which tells if you want to join clan wars or not. it basically appear on the clan castle part. it's either join clan war or not.


III. Conlusion.
Clan war is fun. But it can be lonely sometimes that it can destroy very good clans.

Your post will just get merged into another, posting more about it is pointless.

Supercell have already said that this is not currently in consideration. But who knows what the future will bring

As much as it should be considered (Judging from the pubic opinion) Making multiple threads isn't going to help...It's not like they just don't realise that this famous idea is floating around, they're humans, not monkeys.

This is good idea, but CWs are about that all players go on and battle. If you make your account unable to participate in CW then the Leader can't start CW because some players don't want to participate and he can't know about this
Simply - The Leader rely on the best players of clan and he want start a war. Leader start a war and then he will find out that the best players aren't participating in CW and they will loose.
Sry this can't be in game.

You do realise that all they would have to do is put a special marking next to their name or make a list accessible to the clan of people not participating.

Thanks for posting. Numerous polls now have shown that over 80% of users want to see this. I am one of those and I am trying to make sure this need remains always as visible as possible (I reply to all thread on it plus started my own as well) so I appreciate all of the others that weigh in. Even though there have been many threads, after they run down (usually not until they get pages of comments, mostly supporting) it helps show how strong this need is that new ones do keep popping up. Like the previous commenter has indicated, it has been suggested numerous times. That just means it is not just an idle thought but rather something badly wanted by most of the COC community.

Also here is an excerpt from that thread that describes my own vision for how it should work.

How it should work...

There should be a button (it can be a new one or the war shield can be modified) that toggles a player as in or out.

Access to hit the button to toggle should go to the leader and the player in question.
---- individual players cannot opt each other in or out
---- its an argument either way to give it to co as well - Good for clans where co is a management job, bad for clans that give it out like candy. (I consider the latter to be a sign of a bad leader)
---- A leader who abuses authority to opt guys in against their wishes are really just hurting their own selves for how they are adding a risk to their war participation. (the guy might then just not attack anyhow, if not seeing eye to eye with leader he wont care)
---- A leader opting a guy out against his wishes has that prerogative to decide who he wants in his war. And its still nicer than just kicking the guy like happens now.

The status of a player is only a factor right at the time a war starts. Instead of just selecting all eligible players from the total population it will just be all eligible players from the opted in group.
---- Can even implement by leveraging the existing eligibility functionality that currently is only driven by a timer.

After that everything works the same. The list of warriors from the clan is rounded to an even 5 via the existing logic and then the matchmaking calculation takes place also using the existing logic.

A player joins a clan with his eligibility set the same way it is today. (He is in unless there is a timer)


Things that would not happen -
...A player cannot add themselves to a war after the fact. If they change their status during a war it makes no difference until the next war when that status is read at startup.
...This would not serve as a way to replace members that take off during war. if they do that then there is the same affect on the war as there is today. Unused attacks stay unused. (it will never change that this just stinks when guys pull that stunt)

I really wish this idea would get implemented. About half my clan loves to war, the other half doesn't so losing is typically the result. Even if everyone wanted to play, life gets in the way so it would be nice to be able to opt out when I have to spend the day offline.

My vision on this would be to make it a 3-day process:
Day 1 - leader announces intent to war. Everyone's buttons are set to "opt out" and must be changed by the person. Perhaps make the duration time period to "opt in" selectable by the leader/coleader as well as giving them the ability to opt in their clan members. This way clans that are consistent in their warring choices can go to war in the same timeframe as now.
Day 2&3 proceed as Day1&2 do now.
