How do you sleep at night?

Dear supercell,
I've been playing this amazing game since December every day all day, it's the greatest portable game ever created... Until Wednesday morning. I was greatly looking forward to the new update and I love lots of the new features provided as they greatly increase the gameplay.. BUT you left out one key detail in your update. Nowhere did it say "BUY GEMS AND GIVE US MONEY, THEN SHUT UR FACE". Effectively eliminating farming is a good way to alienate your customers, and with the highly limited business education you obviously possess I'd assume somewhere along the line you'd realize this was a bad idea. Your business model is staggeringly similar to the prison system. Companies make money off incarcerating people, so in turn they pay state officials to make laws stricter to keep people in prison longer. Much like you bait people into this game until it becomes financially prosperous, and once it does, yea you made a ton of money... But you still want more, so screw the average player, lets show Jorge Yao off to the world and everyone should be like him i.e. spend 5g's immediately so you can buy that fancy yet unique coffee table or a clever bedside alarm clock. The point is allow us to farm or your base majority of players will walk away. Figure it out.

Ok, this was very much of an Ad Hominem attack, which does not prove your point in the slightest, but instead makes your argument fallible and weak.

To be honest, I am also unhappy about the loot percentage, and a few of the other changes. BUT... there was once change they made which destroys your argument.

SuperCell decreased the amount of time it takes to upgrade elixir collectors and gold mines. Smart players (such as myself) with a knowledge of simple net present value functions and pay back period analysis would see little point in upgrading these resource collectors before the update. I would argue that the pay back period still isnt great, but it certainly is better. This will give an incentive to players to upgrade these units to their maximum level faster. What does this mean for you and me? More loot producing wells!! The game (up until the update) was mostly a zero-net-sum game. What is produced is what was used (ignoring the purchase of resources using gems). Now there is more loot than that because SuperCell is giving away small bonuses. (Albeit small bonuses... and disappointing bonuses... but still bonuses.)

I am currently in the Gold III league. Bonuses are 3,800 gold and 3,800 elixir. I do not think any of my mines or pumps are higher than level 8. Meaning it would take me a minimum of 2 hours for two resource units to create that amount of gold and elixir. Last night I trophy farmed and probably killed about 12 town halls in an hour to bump my trophies. This means that 12 TH * 2 hours production time * 2 resources collectors = the net equivalent of 2 days of resource collection production. Think about it... that is HUGE... and the best part was that there was no lull in production because i didn't have to put a builder to work to create that extra production capacity.

The little things add up. This increase in the amount of loot available will add up soon. It may take a few days... but you will see things will be back to normal soon.

If your response to supercell ruining their own game by cutting loot percentages is "well your collectors will make up for it" is so stupid I can't think of a proper response other than to say no collector will give me 300k raids again.

Unless of course it's a guy with maxed collectors who hasn't emptied them in a week bcuz he quit playing.

Before you cry your little eyes out and spit your dummy out of your pram, try adjusting your trophy level and stay patient. I tested your "eliminating farming" suggestion and adjusted my trophies to where they were before the update. All i needed was 200 Goblins and check out the pics in this thread that i just posted;

739k gold + league bonus (all be it very small) from 3 raids. What were you saying about farming being eliminated?

Once again BiZzzzzzzzz850, your response used an Ad Hominem attack. This “attack” style is usually indicative of only one thing: You have no evidence to support your claims.

Stop “attacking the man,” whether that be SuperCell or myself and present REAL evidence. You have currently presented none.

Also, you assume too much. It does not take a week to max out the internal storage in a collector. A level 8 gold mine or elixir pump will be completely filled with 50,000 gold/elixir in exactly 1 day, 2 hours, 18 minutes, and 57 seconds.

I await what will hopefully be a much better thought out response.

To start off yes, supercell is pretty greedy, but every company needs money especially when the economy is going down, and programming takes a lot of work.
Farm is something the players came up with not what the programmers thought of, they said so them selves that they reduced the amount you can farm because it is unfair for the lower level players, it is so that is will make saving resources easier for those players. Another function of the league is to make trophies seem more valuable, wanna know why league sucks for you right now? Because you are farming and in a bad trophy range. After 2,800 trophies you are able to gain about 65k+ resources per win which is just getting 50% as well as the amount you already got from raiding them. Steve even said that is is a possibility of a reward for being top in the league later on so look forward to that.

farming was never an original function of the game, so making it easier on lower level players isn't a problem so don't cry and whine about it. Yes, supercell could increase the loot bonus, but no one ever said you have to buy gems, it makes things faster doesnt mean you are obligated to do so. Does other people hemming affect you? No, they are wasting their own money on this game when you can just take it slow and steady. You can get into the top 10 of the players without gemming..... The point of the game in the beginning was to gain trophies, players learn to farm because they needed resource to upgrade.

Translation: Installed freemium game. Farmed a lot, probably during school, on the bus, etc (note: "every day, all day"). Disappointed because now he thinks he has to buy gems, when he can actually continue farming.
