Rage spell myths
Hello fellow clashers!
I'm writing to y'all to help me on my path to clash greatness, I have been playing now for merely 6 months tops. I recently joined a clan to start clan wars and am loving every minute of it, in my quest for pro league I have been you.tubing many of the games greats, guides, blogs and weekly change layout, styles an so on to find that perfect medium.
To cut to the point my clan leaders, best players and alike have been in a deep debate about spells, on in particular the rage spell. My clan has taught me so much and I thank them for it, but when I questioned a lightning spell I dropped on an enemy c/castle troops I believed the spell killed my troops also. I was abruptly taught "no, your light I spell doesn't kill your own troops!!!"
Hahaha I now know this to be wrong, so the current belief from my mentors is the rage spell when dropped will lure or draw your troops into it?
I have argued that this is not true? I cannot see why every other aspect of c.o.c is based on user ability and skill. Example is to drop your troops at the right time in the right place, same with healing spell drop it in the path of your troops so they get maximum time inside it effect. So why would a rage spell actually be different? Why would it draw your troops in? As if almost an ability to somewhat steer your troops ?
Please help me find the truth, I am a perfectionist when it comes to method, strategy and need the official answer.
If there where an official c.o.c rep even better? Or official c.o.c blog or similar document showing that information I would be deeply grateful.
Well for now goodbye, and I thank you all for listening.
I anyone who assists in advance,
Kind regards
Coupe!

I have never experienced having rage spells lure troops, and I highly doubt that that is an added functin that isn't mentioned.

Only jump spell does that?

No just like dropping heal for hogs or rage for other things, never hogs, you will see they follow a set of rules. Their target type, any, defense or resources, that is closest. If there are two at the same distance it's a random roll which way it goes. (Exact formulas a trade secret). You will notice troops also split up. Mass dragons when using rage it's about watching the paths of the dragons and raging over the most hit point buildings.
Clan Castle troops and Heros can draw troops in to a core, or to them. Not spells.

NO SPELL IN CoC SUCKS YOUR TROOPS IN.
Lightning Spell- obviously no sucking function. Will not kill your troops, only the enemy's.
Heal Spell- It does not suck your troops in, it just heals them.
Rage Spell- The heal spell doesn't suck troops in, so why should the rage spell? DOES NOT suck troops in, only increases damage and speed of troops in the spell radius. Watch a few videos of rage spells being used, troops do not get sucked in.
Jump Spell- Contrary to popular belief, this spell does not 'suck troops in'. In actual fact, all it does is 'remove' the walls within its radius, which creates a potential path for troops to go through. This does not necessarily mean that your troops WILL take this path, it has only been made more convenient for your troops and it is entirely dependant on the troops' individual AI whether they decide to use this path or not.
Freeze spell- obviously no sucking function. will freeze enemy cc troops, but not your own.
