TH8 Thread, Post Strategy, Post Comps. Share Pics and Bases, etc.
Hello, my clash name is joseph, and i was wondering if there were any other th8 clashers out there on the forums that have been to masters by any chance? Also, there is a couple strategies i have questions about, and i know there are other th8s out there who could use help too, so i thought it would be cool to start a thread for th8s where they can share strategy, give tips, ask questions, post bases, share army comps that helped you, share attack/defense logs, and help each other out, share how they got to master.
The thing i need advice on is looning, but there is a certain looning strategy i need help on though. I could use some advice on the looning strategy where you just go after the 50percent by picking off building by building (if more explanation is needed i can give more). After i hit 2600 i found it hard looning. But then I saw some replays and videos that opened my eyes and changed my view on how people loon up in the high leagues, i was like woah....:cool: I also just wanted to give a shout-out to my friend josh, check out his youtube channel thefrozenfurnace, His road to champions ep. 1 & 2 is an example of what i'm talking about. I tried doing that on my own and had troubles, need to work on it a bit and am seeking advice. Also shoutout to people i met in an old clan called elite eight, including sura, tyler, my bro enter16, and clone.

Another reason i made this thread was so people can share strategy, so i thought it would be cool to share the army comps i use on my pushes, and i'de love to hear your guys' too!;)
My trophy record atm is 2754 (kinda lame but hey, dont judge me lol). I usually barch my way to 2450 by going for the 50percent victories, after that i would use various army comps, and here they are:
Looning-
1) 24 loons
2) 4wiz (really helps on taking out cc troops for me)
3) rest minions
4) 2rage, 1heal
GoWi(minus the pe)-I dont have pekka yet lol:p, this army comp though, in my opinion was one of the most strongest at th8 and also one of the most funnest to use, ide mostly use this in the 2650+ zone and was able to 2star any th9 with it, even maxed th9s, results are great:D
1) 2 gollems
2) 14-16 wallbreakers
3) 10arch (saved em to pick up buildings in case I didn’t get the 50percent before the other troops died)
4) 22-24 wiz
5) Witch, pekka, or wiz in cc
6) 2rage 1heal
Valk Tornado (video I saw on forums/youtube)-
1) 6 giants
2) 4 healers
3) 6 wallbreakers
4) 5 valks
5) 13-15 wiz
6) Rest archers
7) Wiz or giants in cc
8) 2rage 1heal
Weird Army Comp- please note this strategy takes practice, as does any army comp, and takes more skill than the average army comp, please don't expect to be good using this right off the bat, but with practice comes great results;)
1) 6 wbs
2) 2-3 valks
3)4-6 wiz
4)80 barbs
5) rest archers
6) 1rage 2heal (heal works great on the barbs, use em on the inside when near wiz towers or getting hit by mortars, use rage on arch and barbs after walls are broken through, aim for the th save a couple of archers to pick off buildings)
Those are the main army comps i used. Another thing i would do while trophy pushing was using a farming base. This way once you got higher in league you would only lose roughly 4-13 trophies, opposed to getting 3stared. Also th-snipers who happened to be low lvl will snipe your th, this gives you an opportunity to revenge them for a ton of trophies, which is awesome because you end up gaining way more cups than you lost :o Also, a tip i would give to those who are like me and have never spent a penny on the game, a suggestion i have would be not to use your gems while farming, save up the gems you collect from removing plants and save em for when you push, when you get to a certain league they come in verrrry handy when you need to boost your barracks or spell factory. Also the main goal you should have when disabling a shield or attacking while your pushing is always try to make up more cups than you've lost your last defense. Also losing can effect your push tremendously, if you lose an attack while pushing ik what it feels like, but wanted to let everyone know that they can still recover from that loss, you may not reach your goal as fast as you expected to but you still will reach it, it just takes time :). gl on your guys' pushes!

If you want the easiest way to reach Masters as a TH8...
will cost you some gold... and some time...
The troop composition that I used was 8 Giants (Level 4), 12 Wall Breakers (Level 4), 8 Hog Riders (Level 4), 10 Minions (Level 2) and the rest split between Barbarians and Archers (Level 5) & Level 4 Rage Spell.
1. Try to find exposed TH for easy trophies with minimal troop usage (2 level 5 archers can take out any level TH).
2. Try to find TH behind one wall. Again send in the least troops possible to destroy the TH. If all troops are needed the order to drop would be giants, hogs, wall breakers, Barbs, Archer then rage the Barbs and Archers to take out TH.
This method was the fastest way to get to Masters and collect gems. The reason this worked well is because it's a fast troop build time which allowed me to string attacks back to back without letting someone attack me. The last 100 trophies to reach Masters is brutal.

How to Drag in Masters/too masters :P
My Cup record for th8 is 2939 cups (pretty good right hehe)
Army: 8 Drags 20 minions
FIRST: Barch to 2500!
Strategy: 50% Bases with deep AD
Take out 1 AD with lightning spells, then pick of buildings with minions, then spread dragons around the base but put more drags on the side with the destroyed AD
ALWAYS TAKE KING AND CC TROOPS!! lol
With this strat i could 50% max th10s with deep air d, i might end up making a thread on this but idk ;)
Ill be th9 soon but its good to help out fellow th8's
ALSO TH SNIPE WHEN POSSIBLE!
You do not need a trophy base, just use you normal farming base, you more likely to get sniped which helps alot, believe me
Farming or trophy pushing composition
I farm 90%, 6% clan war, and 4% trophy pushing of the time in CoC
My army is:
50 barbs
150 archers
I try to find inactive bases if I'm farming or if I'm pushing try to find bases that I can get a 1 or if possible 2 stars
