No offense but i think both of them are horrible...
The bases aren't too bad.
I think both types though could potentially get 3 starred by well-placed Hogs or maybe even a GiHeWi attack.
A standard GoWiPe, GoWiWi, or GoWiWiPe could probably 3 star your base as well.
Also, this base would be very susceptible to my type of attack style; which usually consists of me rushing to the middle with a flurry of healer and rage spells.
Your trophy base could use some work, maybe by implementing some funnels here and there.
Maybe a whole base redesign would be better ,so attacks from players like me wouldn't 1 star you as often.
Your farming base seems fine, other than the fact that if your drills and mines are carrying all the resources, I could simply drop archers or wizards on the outside and one star you with profit.
