how to make it fairer when a higher level TH attacks

for regular matchmaking one-on-one raids:


when a higher level TH attacks a lower level TH, the attacker is limited to the troops/spells that would be available to a maxed out lower TH, both in type and quantity


for example, a TH8 attacking a TH4 can only attack with a maximum of 80 troops, and the strongest available troop is a level 2 balloon, no spells allowed


this way, higher level THs can still attack lower ones, but the raids won't be so lopsided. the higher level TH will have to rely on skill and experience, instead of the fact that they have an OP army

TH 8's with high level troops worked hard for their lvl 5 troops.

newsflash,a TH 8 should be able to crush a th4 with no bother,but,that is why there is the loot penalty,because...a TH8 wil get nothing from attacking a th4.

OP, you are quite confused and/or quite new to the game.

Particularly the part about "loot" near the middle of the page.

a TH8 raiding a TH 4 would only be able to get 5% of the available loot. It would almost undoubtedly cost thrm more to raid you than they would be able to get in return.

The loot penalty already exists in order to make it fair for any TH level to attack any other TH level. The greater the difference between the attacker's level and the defender's level, the less look they can possibly get.

If you're worried about trophies, don't be. If you're trophy pushing beyond your range and getting smashed by higher THs, then this is part of the challenge of trophy pushing beyond your capability. It's how the game is designed and needs no tweaking.

Let me guess you're new. When you reach TH8 level you will regret you said this. Also try going down in trophies

As much as I get frustrated with being picked off for resources by farmers who can't be bothered to raise their own resources, coc pirates essentially. It is part of the game, and u just need to live with it until u get your base up to scratch, at least there is a loot penalty to off set this.

Yeah they raise their resources from your loot like everyyyyone else lol

and to the OP youre probably just waaaay to high in trophies if th8s are attacking you (since I'm assuming youre a th4) No th8 is attacking you solely for your loot but probably very easy trophies.

Smashing lower bases with many and/or high troops is generally not profitable. Understood some guys do it anyhow, but it really does not turn a buck. The only way to make it profitable to attack a much lower base is to restrict your troops you use there. Which is the end result you are seeking anyhow. So no need for Supercell to build this into the game.

If I see a lowly TH in higher trophies and boosting a level 5 collector i smash them in the head to try to get some sense in there. It's a couple minutes to replace the very few troops to smash you. I'm not being mean I'm trying to get you on the forums asking why...

because TH7 and below is a loot paradise you should be in bronze raking in the cash. Get out of gold little clasher! Oh and it's fun to smash little bases, sorry but it is. Don't push me when I can't find loot is my advice.

thanks all for the wise words. you are all correct -- yes, i am new and probably pushing ahead too fast. will follow your advice, drop my trophy level and work on my base and play until i am ready to compete with the TH8s. thanks all for your advice and for being so nice about what obviously was not a good suggestion -- i know when i'm the TH8, i'll be glad that my idea was shut down. thanks!
