Wizard Problem
In our CW, I lured out the CC troops (it was 25 archers) like normal and I used wizard and archers to take the troops out but when I place the wizards out, they're supposed to 1 or 2 shot the archers (who were in a clump) but the wizard did his shoot-the-fireball animation however nothing came out of his hands and the archers were unharmed, letting the wizard get taken out just like that. Maybe it's because of the new update.

If a wizard get's hit when trying to fire it's shot resets.

A video would be nice, but I suspect that the target the wizard was trying to fire at was killed before he could launch his "FIREBALL".

Working as intended.
I suspect to make up for the ridiculous clumping of defensive troops supercell intentionally set the AI of troops to focus fire in order to make defences like mass archer not totally useless. Pre-patch, this was the only group focus fire in the whole game. "Balance" dumb behaviour with even dumber behaviours.
The only way to counter this is to place out a couple barbs/archers, then the wizard farther away, then keep feeding in sacrifice barb/archers close to the clump. The small number of non-wizard units should not kill the enemy unit before the wizard gets an aoe attack off.
