LEAVE YOUR TOP PLAYER'S TOWN HALL OPEN AND FREE FOR THE TAKING IN CLAN WARS!!!

Why?

Loot is why. Hear me out.

We want more loot in the game, for ourselves and to loot from others. Leaving a top TH open in clan wars will help with that. It will have marginal impact on the result of any particular war and will help in two ways...

1) It will allow the winning team to max how much loot they will take away from a war. Once a war outcome is decided, then the remaining attackers can hit the open TH for max loot with little to no elixer expenditure.

2) Even the losing team will be able to hit the exposed TH and max the loot they will get at very little cost, or no cost if you use your hero to take out the exposed TH.

All this will result in Supercell pumping more gold and elixer into the game instead of taking it out of the game. The more gold and elixer put into the game, the better the raiding will be for everyone.

If everyone participates, everyone benefits.

-"But what about clan members who will hit the TH to farm loot and not go for stars?"- There are already some clans that leave a TH open as "bait" during a clan war, so it's not like clans don't already have to deal with the issue of clan members taking the bait and not going for stars. That's a clan discipline issue that clans already deal with, "farming" vs "star hunting" in CWs. This doesn't add to or make that discipline issue go away. It may allow those guys to farm great loot when a match is already decided though, rather than losing an attack and "throwing away" resources on a failed attack.

Pass it along. Put it in your clan description and ask your opponent to do the same before war. Let's make this a global movement and stick it to Supercell.

Why not? Because it makes perfect sense.

We game the system to get more free resources out of Supercell.

Heck, even clans that don't war should do this and at least give other clans more resources so they can farm it away from them later.

Please bump this. The more that read this and talk about it in their clans, the more likely something like this might catch on.

While this is a noble idea, I don't agree with it at all. In my opinion, wars are for competition - not loot.

This idea does not detract from the competition aspect of clan wars. You still fight to win. After all, you want 100% loot bonus, not the 20% the losers get.

The exposed TH's shouldn't really come into play or get hit repeatedly unless or until the outcome of the war is decided. Once it's decided (ie. your clan is 30 cups up with 30 min left), then it would of course be time to farm as much loot as possible. Goal is to pump as much resources into the game for as low a cost as possible.

I'm in a small 15 member clan of IRL friends and friends-of-friends. We do wars back to back with zero downtime. I would say that in the past couple months, there have been at least 8 times where the final score was a difference of 1 star or a tie. In all of these cases if both top players' TH were outside, the score would probably be the same. However, if only one team had their top TH outside and he got 1 starred where he would otherwise not have even been attacked necessarily, it would have swayed the outcome of the war.

I know your intentions are good here. But I don't think the honor system is something you can count on, especially over the internet and especially in video games. I could see clans moving their TH in at the last minute to give them an advantage.

This is a bad idea lol, some wars can come down to 1 star, ive had it happen to me a couple times, and 50percent isnt always that hard to get, but leaving an open th could cost you a war, i wouldnt wanna do this, no offfense

IN a small clan war, you would be attacking the top base regardless. With that little number of targets, you would be looking to two star the top base anyway. Even if the other clan put their TH back in at the last second, if you can't one or two star their top guy, then you probably weren't meant to win that war anyway.

Anyway, this would work by leaving a lower member's TH outside unprotected as well. It just would give as much free loot. the opponent's #1 guy will always give the biggest loot bonus.

You have to actually win the war to recieve that loot. Horrible idea.

This isn't going to work. The point of wars is to help your clan mates and get stars not loot.

No one is getting the war bonus off me without having to use a proper attack :rolleyes:

McDean, even if you lose, you still get 20%. 20% of 900k is better than 20% of 0 or 20% of 450k (when you fail twice or on 1 of your 2 attks).

Of course you still want to win. That's a given. But when you know you're going to lose, wouldn't it be better to be able to toss you AQ out there to take down #1 unprotected TH and thus make 20% of 450k? Or would you rather 1) not use ur 2nd attk b/c you know youre going to lose or 2) use a full blown attack and associated elixer and DE just to try to get the same 20% bonus?

I love the idea and will pass it along to my clannies. It also has the side benefit of hurting clans with poor discipline, giving you and edge in many wars. I understand it's not a good idea for smaller clans because of the typically close scores, but for the larger clans out there I think this is fantastic. Hope it catches on.

If I'm going to lose, I would want my opponent to get as much loot as possible in winning. If you don't want the same, then you are an idiot, concerned only with your own pride and ego.

More loot they take from a CW victory means more money that can be raided from them later.

You want to win of course. You want both to win and to get as much loot as you can. To say otherwise is just silly.

Wars do make a good deal of loot, but a good farming raid makes much more loot in the time spent focusing on a war. Clan wars are more for the fun and competition, not the loot imo. That is debate able. So putting your #1 players th on the outside gives the opponent an easy one star they might not be able to usually get

And who exactly benefits from this?????

Firstly to make that loot bonus u need to win the war

To win the war most of the members and especially top members need to do both their attacks

So who exactly is getting loot from all this...the snipers and hoppers

Everyone benefits, at least indirectly.

Even if you lose the CW, you still get 20% of your loot bonus. So sniping 2 TH's with your AQ at no cost will net you 20% of the loot bonus doing so, even in a losing effort.

You by all means try to win. But in the event that you have already wrapped up victory (or defeat) and could get good loot bonus for little to no cost, it's a no brainer.

It's kinda like at the end of a war, if a team is winning big, everyone left will hit the target with the best loot bonus and is easiest to one star. I've seen it over and over. My suggestion is just letting them do that by hitting an exposed TH so that you maximize the loot bonus and minimize the elixer investment to get it.

Make sense now?

Someone suggested this the other day and I thought it was a bad idea then too.

It could cause more issues than it solves IMO.

you would still need stars to win the war - who's going to attack and miss out on the extra loot/how could you decide who gets it without upsetting others?

greedy people would snipe anyway or not use their raids until the very end in the hope of cashing in, increasing the likelyhood of a loss for everyone.

people already leave their TH's outside as a tactic to waste greedy opponents raids on measly 1 star wins - I dont fancy seeing that as a regular thing.

If you want my loot, you'd better earn it, especially in clan wars.

That sounds more like a problem with discipline in your clan. In a higher level clan, maybe it's not as much a problem with people being greedy and not being a "team player". I'd suggest that anyone who doesn't play for the win and employs the tactics you describe doesn't need to be in your clan, or you need to be in a better clan.

We have warned players that going for an easy one star for looting purposes when the match is still in doubt is unacceptable and that violators will be kicked. It's stopped such activity in my clan.

Confuzed, That's the whole point. It's NOT YOUR LOOT. It's Supercell's loot. We should want to give away a much of Supercell's loot as we can.
