Just made this poll out of curiosity. I also just maxed TH8 defenses, so I want to know which way I should have my X-bows when I get them. Leave a comment if you'd like to defend why you have your X-bows the way you do!

Loonion is common at my range and my ADs aren't given good priority, so I use both up.
As a recent th9 I keep both mine pointed down and take advantage of the longer range and the fact that 90% of the attacks against me are ground based. Just level up the extra ad fast. A lvl 4 ad does more damage to air troops than 2 lvl 3 xbows (160 vs 150). Only way I would put them up is if you are in a league where you get balloonianed a lot.
Depending on their level, at lvl 1-2 I put them down but I got mine lvl 3 early. Lvl 3 is the only time there actually good.
For me it depends on where my air defenses are. If I have centralized air defenses I tend to put them on ground, but if my air defenses aren't too centralized I like them on ground & air.
both up, its not often i get attacked with ground troops that the xbows would hurt. pretty much GoWipe or GoWiwi too many double bomb locs completely scared away all the hoggers.
Have also had it where the Xbows down cost me a loss. They become fixated on a tanky Pekka or Golem that is circling the outside and with the extended range they stay on it , while the squishy troops flood toward core...if they were up the tank would break range and the Xbows would have gone for the wiz/witches.
